Mom's OK and has food in but still....this is the third Friday in a row that her aide has pulled this shit. Mom really likes her but she is getting less and less reliable, and Mom is afraid to have someone else from teh agency cover due to COVID...

The band had so much energy and good spirit. It was great to hear songs I know backward and forward played live. 	5:18pm Rick A: Hello Sheila and All, Frederick Forsyth's The Day of the Jackal about an attempt to assassinate Charles De Gaulle is really great. The 70s film with Edward Fox as the title character is a great slow build thriller.

	5:22pm lunarleigh: Another movie based on a Real life spy, Mo Berg, is The Catcher was a Spy, released in 2018. I’m sure there are books written about him. But it’s a pretty fascinating story and a pretty good movie! Mo Berg was a major league baseball player, Ivy League graduate, attorney and top-secret spy during WWII.
	5:22pm Rick A: Sheila, I read the novel as a teenager and really liked it as well. There are also Graham Greene's espionage novels: The Quiet American, Our Man in Havana, and The Honorary Consul among others.

	5:22pm PJ: Another great spy series, from the '80s, is Reilly: Ace of Spies, starring Sam Neill as Sidney Reilly, who was an actual Russian agent/double agent operating before and during the Russian Revolution/Civil War.

It was absolutely incomprehensible and Oldman seemed to be playing a character so weirdly translucent that he almost disappeared off the goddamn screen. I have to assume that 2 hours simply isn't enough to tell that story.

	5:18pm Rick A: Hello Sheila and All, Frederick Forsyth's The Day of the Jackal about an attempt to assassinate Charles De Gaulle is really great. The 70s film with Edward Fox as the title character is a great slow build thriller.

	5:22pm lunarleigh: Another movie based on a Real life spy, Mo Berg, is The Catcher was a Spy, released in 2018. I’m sure there are books written about him. But it’s a pretty fascinating story and a pretty good movie! Mo Berg was a major league baseball player, Ivy League graduate, attorney and top-secret spy during WWII.
