	♥ 4:32pm B R M: Long story but no shame: The first "mandatory" record that was "delivered" to our house after I signed up as a kid for the Columbia Record & Tape Club (without permission) was ABACAB on vinyl and I totally acted like I had intended to order it (I was 12? 13?). My mom let me keep it but canceled the club and I had to work off the cost... but then I started listening to ABACAB and liked it? Still have my copy. Simultaneously, my step-dad (who I love dearly) started picking concerts for the two of us to attend, one every summer, and in 1985, a couple of years later, he chose Phil Collins. Here is the setlist: www.setlist.fm... I like Genesis still, don't really listen to much solo Phil, but the music was absolutely a bridge for me, as was Iron Maiden, Judas Priest on the metal end, etc. Different times to be 10 thru 14... no shame, that music was my late elementary/ middle school bridge to a lot of things and I find a lot of comfort in it, so I totally stand alongside @djsheilab on this journey, for sure. I just want to live in a world where people are free to love what they love, authentically, fully. ❤️

	♥ 4:32pm B R M: Long story but no shame: The first "mandatory" record that was "delivered" to our house after I signed up as a kid for the Columbia Record & Tape Club (without permission) was ABACAB on vinyl and I totally acted like I had intended to order it (I was 12? 13?). My mom let me keep it but canceled the club and I had to work off the cost... but then I started listening to ABACAB and liked it? Still have my copy. Simultaneously, my step-dad (who I love dearly) started picking concerts for the two of us to attend, one every summer, and in 1985, a couple of years later, he chose Phil Collins. I like Genesis still, don't really listen to much solo Phil, but the music was absolutely a bridge for me, as was Iron Maiden, Judas Priest on the metal end, etc. Different times to be 10 thru 14... no shame, that music was my late elementary/ middle school bridge to a lot of things and I find a lot of comfort in it, so I totally stand alongside @djsheilab on this journey, for sure.
