Near my house is a real tree that in the past engulfed a metal fence. The fence was since removed, but they left a small bit for the tree to lean on. Looks hilarious.

As I have said, my superhero alter ego would be Disconnekt, and my power would be a weak telekinesis only strong enough to slap phones out of people's hands. It would grow with depth underground so as to make the subway platforms safe for us, the fast walkers. (Though there would be power spikes at the tops of the subway stairs!)

I'm sorry for your experience. I always feel like I need to be doubly aware/alert when out and about to make up for those around me who are distracted by their phones.
