Facebook and Google have made deals with the Australian government and Rupert Murdoch - after Facebook briefly removed all news from its platform. It's "Godzilla vs. Gamera" again, except perhaps that Gamera (FB+G) never before so openly blackmailed a national government.
• Facebook might put facial-recognition tech in its smart glasses, due to launch this year (Business Insider, Feb 26)
