I think the station was called Sunny 910. When I was in my mid-twenties, I'd actually put it on at work. It was sort of an antidote to all the Punk and Industrial I would pummel my brain with most of the time at the time.

another early 70s memory: If we went into town (we lived out in the country), my mom would put this kind of radio on the hi fi really loud, supposedly to make anyone who drove up think someone was home (it was pretty common for thieves to drive up someone's driveway and take advantage of the rural isolation and clean out someone's house).
We tried convincing our mom that maybe this kind of music wouldn't exactly deter anyone or instill fear in their heart. We tried to talk her into playing a hard rock station.

My parents took us to the Madonna Inn in 1964 when we also went to the Heart Castle. The big takeaway for me was making a spectacle of myself in a restaurant and all the people waiting to be seated start laughing. It was just one of the times I pulled a stunt when we were out to eat.

Took me a bit to dig into Bruton, hard to find in thrifts in the states. Was not until audiogalaxy/early 2000s when I had the chance to really dig in. We had tons of Media Music records everywhere in thrifts and sometimes a staton would clear out KPM/Montparnasse titles. :)
