The first time I heard this on FMU, my initial thought was "Oh, funny, this soul singer's name is Terry Riley too!"

I'm trying to wrap my mind around how Terry Riley created this in 1968. I've heard this before but it's like Yoko Ono's Plastic Ono Band. It's music from the future.

Andrea in Jersey City:

I love off timing, so liberating!!

I feel like I'm being waterboarded musically. However, earlier in this very song i was grooving. Where am I? Who am I?

I have a story about Mike S.
I was hanging with a friend in Athens, and we went in to the 40 Watt Club to get a beer.
This was late 90's at latest.
Anyway, he was sitting inside when my friend recognizes him, walks up and asks if he is __?
After he responded Yes, my friend tells him how much he hates him and what he's done to Athens. Thought it was great
