This is where all of culture and all of time are collapsed into one seductive portal and viewed through the panoramic lens of the exotic. Come and embark on an armchair-travel virtual-voyage to the heart of timeless darkness and beyond; embrace the numinous monolith of the exotic immensity. Let us find that place where hybridization meets its destiny as pure fantasy. Let us become observers observing those others who are ourselves. You wear your mask and I'll wear mine.

Hi Rev Rab! It really cracks me up that Duane Eddy's closest thing to a proper surf record is water skiing themed

Of course - I always go on about Surf's importance to the development of Eelektric Gittar as it became
- in that space between Elvis in the Army & Beatles in USA when nothing supposedly happened...
Avatar 7:17pm
Flash Strap:

absolutely rev - i also think it's the bridge between one generation's exotica and the next's psych, which is usually portrayed as a total sea change
Avatar 7:18pm
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Yup. A big takeaway for me from this whole Program!
Avatar 7:19pm

guitar here almost taking on a psychedelic cumbia quality, imo

I only read that review (?) because it was the ONLY thing I could find on the Wedges. I won't pretend i wasn't disappointed it wasn't some pure true surf, but i totally agree with you LD

i still have my discwasher brush from c.1979, before they sold out to rca (?) who turned it into crap. i make the fluid with a (discwasher) bottle (10 oz.?) full of distilled water and a couple drops of photoflo.
if they're terrible, like caught in a flood terrible, i might use soap and water. then still discwasher before every play.
