Myron - one of the advantages of the #1 hit format is that the on;y context you need to worry about is "is this a #1 hit or not"

Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sat. 1/2/16 12:21pm Glenn L:

One of my favorite questions from the old "What's in Michaels Mailbox?" segment, where he'd interview other WFMU DJ's, was
"Have you ever shoplifted music?"
Avatar Swag For Life Member Sat. 1/2/16 12:22pm JakeGould:

@MichaelShelley: I think the trend towards idolatry of nonsense spaces is a bit nuts. So with you on Tower Records; I have fond memories of going to the one on West 3rd Street and Broadway in NYC, but all of those spaces were dumpy retail spaces. Honestly all record stores is and are that way. Who cares?

I grew up in NYC and there are TONS more places that should have been preserved but now are gone. Landmarks preservation is really a bizarre game of real estate that I’ev grown to question.

Avatar Swag For Life Member Sat. 1/2/16 12:27pm JakeGould:

@glenn: Isn’t it stunning how people who we idolize for portraying a character on screen that is not themselves are often complete idiots in real life?
Avatar Sat. 1/2/16 12:29pm DanH:

Not just an idiot, but a poorly informed idiot. Those are the worst kinds of idiots.
