Options Ning Nong Radio: Playlist from June 2, 2015 Options

Ning Nong Radio juxtaposes current and classic experimental music with exotica, post-punk, and many other things. It somehow makes sense.

Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 6/2/15 3:18am ausmanx:

the absence of this and Dangerous for the Brain from the schedule means FMU's going mainstream as far as I can see... not good. hey from Sydney, DJ Nong

@ausmanx: Good evening ausmanx. Maybe you should check out Jonathan Herweg's Blurred and Obscured, though it might not be at a good time for you

  Tue. 6/2/15 3:59am Ajay:

What? You're not on the new schedule???!!! This is the best bloody show on WFMU!!! Who decides these things over there? They need to sort it out. This is the one show I never miss on WFMU.
  Tue. 6/2/15 3:59am Evan:

One of the best shows on WFMU, sorry to hear you are not on the new schedule. This Brast Burn is amazing by the way. Ning Nong <3
  Tue. 6/2/15 4:00am Gleb:

ausmanx, i'm totally agree with you. It's sad and this two show's was very interesting (especially for me). I was happy to discover NN on WFMU and then I became permanent listener.
Thank you, Ning Nong, for your hosting. Hope you will return, at least, for fill-ins.
  Tue. 6/2/15 4:07am Joshua:

Greetings from LA - gorgeous late night listening, you and Drew, killing it...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 🎃 Tue. 6/2/15 4:08am Ike:

Very nice.
  Tue. 6/2/15 4:12am Ajay:

If your passion is music and you're looking to discover new and challenging sounds, then NNR provided that consistently. As a regular and trusted listener of WFMU, I do listen to other shows that are broadcast on the station, but this particular show is one of the best. So why discontinue it? As the Hüskers would say: makes no sense at all
Tue. 6/2/15 4:17am DJ Ning Nong:

hey everyone, thanks for the kind words! i've chosen to take a break for various reasons but i hope to be back. it means a lot to me that you appreciate the program! thank you!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 6/2/15 4:41am Wynford Eagle:

Thanks mr ning nong for all the great music. Still here in Dorset UK - enjoy the break (Ah, Broadcast!)
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 6/2/15 4:46am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

- great listening ;
Broadcast here sound to me midway in a spectrum between United States of America & Stereolab! (- probably way off)...
...Pleased that DJs who are leaving generally seem to be saying it's their choice...Sort of !...
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 6/2/15 4:48am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...the rigors of an early A.M. timeslot are reason enuff for anyone to question their commitment, seems to me...
  Tue. 6/2/15 5:03am Kafuka:

The best show are in early timeslots. I'll miss this show.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 6/2/15 5:09am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...certainly going out in style here! Beautiful sets.
- Apparently this will be a shorter Schedule (less than six months) - & DJs do take breaks & come back...

  Tue. 6/16/15 11:39pm Chris:

Hello Ning Nong, I discovered your show only a few months ago and have spent much of that time catching up on the archival pod-casts as well as enjoying the new shows. Thank you for exposing us to some of the most unique and far-reaching pieces of audio ever created! I am very sad to see you go, but I wish you best in whatever the future holds for you. I hope that one day soon you are back, either here or somewhere else, to continue to share your incredible aural selections with us. Cheers! Take care, Chris
