It looks like No Tears is coming back into rotation at FMU, and I welcome it.

Cecile - dunno if you've checked out Barely Bros. yet, there's an OG copy of that EP sitting there right now. Scream With A View also.

I believe its a talking pumpkin Not Randy. So in that case it makes perfect sense.
  10:25am
Not Randy:

Last month I went to the saturday night show at Monty Hall. There I determined to, over time, listen at least once to every show in the weekly line-up.

And this show is doing my head in.
Avatar 10:26am
ᏠЄႶႶỊѺµЄ:

@Not Randy - being a pumpkin is a dangerous life.
  10:26am
Not Randy:

A talking pumpkin? That does indeed make sense. Thank you for explaining! I must listen more carefully.
  10:26am
Not Randy:

talking pumpkins sound seedy
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:27am
Marcel M:

@Not Randy: Thats a good idea. There are so many shows I haven't given enough time to and should check out. But there is only so much time in a week, and I already seriously neglect my poor records because all I do is listen to WFMU.
  10:31am
Not Randy:

Yeah. I feel the same. Mostly I catch the shows from the archives, to get a feel.

I found I mostly am a faithful listener to the talk shows: Why oh Why, Shut up Weirdo, Joe Frank, and one of my favorites "Miracle Nutrition"

Also Fools Paradise
Avatar 10:32am
Cecile:

I like Sportsy Talk.
I am kind of over Shut Up
Avatar 10:32am

I love it when Clay nad Fabio open up the phones to callers
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:34am
Marcel M:

All the 6pm talk shows are great. I too absolutely love Clay and Fab together.

I remember the first time I heard Hearty White. I was driving and flipped on FMU and just could not stop laughing.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:34am
Marcel M:

I'm going to be a phone slave for SUW during the marathon. I am quite excited.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:36am
Polyus:

Jones and X-Ray are probably my favorite talkers. Can't always say the same for all of the musical selections.
Avatar 10:40am
Cecile:

I think for me and SUW it's almost a generational thing.
  10:41am
Not Randy:

Yeah. Sometimes Hardy White really hits my funny bone. Some thing he did about a nativity scene, around christmas time, had me laughing out loud. I suspect he sometimes drops cannabis tincture on his tongue, based on something he said
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:42am
DCE:

hello! having so much trouble with my computer...must be a soundcard issue. It's killin' me!
  10:42am

Cecile, yeah, Shut Up gets old pretty quickly.
  10:43am
Not Randy:

Heck, I even listen sometimes to JM in the AM
Avatar 10:44am
Cecile:

I guess it's different now for a lot for women in their 20s and 30s.
I always felt that on the radio, I had to be a little more serious and knowledgeable than the guys. But that was 30 years ago.
Avatar 10:44am
Cecile:

I also did my share of stupid stuff on the radio, too. Just not all the time.
Avatar 10:45am

And I had my share of drunk off my ass shows as well.

I have to start playing FMU at night and also music.
We were at the bar eating dinner last night, and I put Megadeth's Holy Wars on the juke box, My husband got misty and said "I miss you playing music at home".

For those who don't understand Dutch; someone wanted a motorboat, and he got one. The narrator found this very puzzling. That's what that song was about.
