That first one is reminding me a bit of the Argento soundtrack we heard watching "Inferno" yesterday.

Can't remember which production person was speaking (not Dario), but in one of the specials we watched afterwards, this guy was saying he never wanted to be near a cat ever again. He'd been responsible for wrangling them, or at last tossing them at the actress in that one scene.

Speaking of palettes and pets -- we were, right? -- here's the caption for a cartoon: “All of my work deals with the theme of exclusion.” that can be seen here: www.newyorker.com...

Appears Douglas Shaw (Highlife on Soundcloud) has some interesting cover songs, Captain Beefheart and Neil Young.

Can't seem to get enough of Ms. Peacock, whose work seems to be played around the clock on 'FMU. A good thing, I think, now that I am developing a taste for it.

Wonder if it would be at all helpful to call myself Nitram Neelhtak, like Shaw calling himself Wahs Salgoud (I always spot the backwards names right away). Or maybe 033tak?

I hadn't heard of Steve Post's death before. I hadn't heard him in a long time, so I can't really say I'll miss him any more than I already did, but he was hilarious. Great radio deadpan.

Deep Thought of the Day: A time will come when the airwaves only have room for tributes to artists' birthdays and deaths. Eventually so crowded with archives of recorded sound will we be that the *only* time we'll get to hear some artists' work is on birth and death days.

I definitely lean pro-alien (in theory) but anti-cat (in practice). There is no explanation for this.
Avatar 2:32pm
kat330:

@KfHP: The two cats I had for 18 & 17 years respectively were actually great detectors of aliens. Proved an invaluable talent.

See, you are already Canadian. We all drive late model, all-wheel drive Nonces. You will fit right in. Just don't say "Hoosier." We are multi-lingual, but don't speak mid-western.
