Doug Schulkind:
@Listener James from Westwood That Lata Mangeshkar track was from the 1973 film Naya Nasha. Here is the synopsis: Reena lives a very wealthy lifestyle with her businessman dad, socialite mom, and widower paternal grandfather in a mansion. She studies in college, is very bored, and joins protesting students who are agitating against rising college fees. She has a crush on their family doctor, Samar Chowdhary. She goes on a date with him to a club and falls for the club's singer, Sharad, who rejects her. Still bored, she gets friendly with Kitty, who in turn introduces her to Rana, and from thence on Reena gets hooked on drugs and starts coming home late at night. Her grandfather notices this and tells her dad, who in turn confronts her, and convinces her to get married to Samar. The marriage does take place but Reena is unable to keep away from drugs, and refuses any treatment. She gets pregnant and is hospitalized. Her parents who have been away, return home several months later to view their grandchild little realizing the horror that awaits them and that soon their daughter will be arrested by the Police, and may face the gallows for shooting a man to death. |

I know, it's disappointing that they didn't change it to "squirrel" throughout. |

![]() Of course, this being The Scenario, I assumed Amanda was playing the original at the wrong speed, at first. |
![]() |
![]() Dang, it's college all over again with this Giant on right now. Time to ignore my summer job and write roleplaying adventures while I'm supposed to be delivering files. |

![]() Bird is the word! S'up, Scenarioasters? |

![]() I can actually play Sugar Sugar on the uke -- always do the "I'm gonna make your life so sweet" line in my deepest fake Barry White voice, though. |

Aaaahhhh! The worst misuse of "Lullabye on Broadway" in history. |
![]() |
![]() Not many white boys could do this song and come away with their dignity intact but David Jo manages the near-impossible. |
![]() |
![]() Another 10 years and they'll be dragging David Johansen out of a nursing facility to perform at a glam-rock revival festival. |
![]() |
![]() Not sure there was a better radio rocker than Radar Love in the 70s. It worked, pumping out of my flying-saucer-shaped transistor, while I ran my Denver Post route. |
![]() |
![]() While I was walking to work past said Milford Plaza, I heard one person sing th last line of the jingle. This was like 2000, so that tag did its job. An old, emphysematic Don Draper would be smiling. |

listening to the show for the first time in the comfort of my own home, incredible | |

![]() I'm never ashamed of liking The Monkees, but I have a special dispensation because they were my first favorite band, as a nerdy little pre-teen kid in 1966. |
![]() |
![]() @Skirkie: I always thought of the underworld vs. the anatomical zone. Likely due to lots of childhood D&D. \m/ |
![]() |
![]() And yes, Neil really should put in a guest appearance. In fact, they should have rotating guest stars to replace Davy -- it's too bad Harry Nilsson isn't around for something like that. |

![]() "And I'll take this Communist card, too!" |

![]() "He's gone mad with power, like that Albert Schweitzer guy!" OMG, the drinking song is the best. |
![]() |
![]() "Remove the Stone of Shame", "Woohoo!""Attach the Stone of Triumph!" "D'oh!" |
