Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 3:10am PGB:

Neblung Price means Jim Price, the great 'FMU DJ.
Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 3:10am Stanley:

Sat. 4/5/14 3:10am david from ks:

Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 3:12am Brian in UK:

Stanley should have gone to Skegness.
Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 3:12am Whooda:

@David from ks, that's the moon, brother. It's 2:00 AM :)
Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 3:12am PGB:

I pretty sure the mosquitoes are responsible for the chemtrails.
Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 3:13am mauri:

Saturdays the best and todays gonna be warm too. Great!
The plan is to listen wfmu and wander outdoors.
Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 3:17am Whooda:

As a child we would run behind the jeep that sprayed roiling clouds of DDT poison as mosquito control. The driver, wearing hazmat gear and gas mask would wave us away, but we ignored him until he stopped the jeep and got out to chase us away. I was later informed it was poison gas. The next day it came around I was frantic with panic to get in the house before I died from the spray. For other reason's, my Mother wouldn't let me in as I raced from door to door and window to window begging to get inside. True story.
Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 3:18am Stanley:

Managed to avoid malaria, denge and Delhi belly then caught an atrocious cold as soon as I landed. 'Skegness 'flu'
Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 3:19am PGB:

A bunch of people from my hometown have been bragging about riding in that DDT fog recently on fb. Yikes.
Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 3:20am mariano:

@Whooda: yikes! That story makes me wanna huff some WD-40!
Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 3:21am Elisa In Italy:

HELLO! :)
  Sat. 4/5/14 3:21am P-90:

This track is truly demented in the best possible way. Thanks!
Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 3:21am mariano:

@Stanley -- happy to hear you're back in one piece. Never been to India, it's definitely on my list, like so many places.
  Sat. 4/5/14 3:21am P-90:

Ciao Elisa!
Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 3:23am Elisa In Italy:

Got some funny news. They spotted an alien in Mercogliano, Italy but I have been in Vicenza all this time...they got the wrong city. :)

Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 3:23am mariano:

Hi Elisa!
Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 3:24am Whooda:

Good morning Elisa, what's for breakfast this Saturday morning?
Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 3:24am Stanley:

@mariano - not a place for a holiday but fascinating none the less. March - September is too hot, though.
Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 3:27am Whooda:

Hmmm, what *do* aliens eat Elisa? Inquiring minds want to know.
Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 3:27am Elisa In Italy:

Breakfast was weird...I had peanut butter, espresso, strawberries...you know alien food. :) How about you Whooda.
Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 3:30am Whooda:

Having a banana and coffee before bed. You aliens sure eat well. Those aliens in Mercogliano are probably trying to learn your secret tiramisu recipe :)
Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 3:31am Elisa In Italy:

You know my British/German friend in Germany makes better Tiramisu than any Italian I know.
Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 3:31am Brian in UK:

Ectoplasm in any form for the most important meal of the day.
Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 3:31am Whooda:

haha
Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 3:33am mariano:

@Elisa: wasn't there some minor scandal in Italy when it was found that the most popular pizza was a German frozen brand?
Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 3:37am Elisa In Italy:

I don't know about the German frozen brand...interesting...but I know a Chinese kid won a prize for pizza throwing in Italy and an Italian did well in martial arts in China. So demonyms are losing cultural stereotypical meaning as usual. Cultures are intertwining and new ones are developing everyday. Tutto il mondo e' un paese.
Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 3:39am Stanley:

@Brian - I prefer a nice piece of smoked haddock
Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 3:40am mariano:

Yeah, I also hear that Japan has amazing Italian food. Here in New York all kinds of interesting things are happening, like Korean tacos, all sorts of interesting cultural mash-ups.
Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 3:41am Elisa In Italy:

@ Mariano: Yes, that is what makes the US such great fun. :)
Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 3:41am Elisa In Italy:

@ Mariano: Yes, that is what makes the US such great fun. :)
Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 3:42am Elisa In Italy:

I'm moving to Barcelona, Spain soon and I'm thrilled to meet other aliens like myself there. :)
Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 3:43am mariano:

@Elisa: well, we gotta do something good to make up for all the other stuff.
Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 3:48am mariano:

@Elisa: great city, hope you have a great time living there!
Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 3:49am Elisa In Italy:

@ Mariano you got WFMU in the US. Thanks! Time to learn some Catalan! I am going to try and find a way to get a ticket for Primavera Music Festival...I don't know how I'm going to afford it. I am broke!! :( Have any of you been to the Primavera Music Festival besides WFMU DJs?
Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 3:54am Elisa In Italy soon to be in Spain. :) ♥ ♥ ♥:

Ok got to go! Great chatting with you all! Have a great weekend! Comiat!
Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 3:54am Brian in UK:

@Elisa never, to Primavera though the lineup looks good most years.
I cannot find the commitment for the length of a festival, must be getting old(er)
Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 3:54am mariano:

Take care, Elisa!
Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 3:55am Stanley:

@Elisa - contact Bas in Holland, he won a trip to Primavera a couple of years ago. A good friend of the station.

Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 4:03am mariano:

See ya Brian!
Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 4:26am PGB:

Time to start the show over from the beginning!
Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 4:45am mariano:

Never heard this version of Lucifer Sam, it's really cool!
Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 4:46am PGB:

The Three O'Clock: something from a new bin of the past...if that makes any sense.
Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 4:49am Stanley:

Gotta split, guys. Thanks for the good Saturday sounds, PGB.
Bye all.
Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 4:50am mariano:

You know, I have traumatic memories of Huey Lewis from the 80s, but it blew my mind when I learned that Elvis Costello's backup band on Allison was made up largely of members from the News.
Take care, Stanley!
Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 4:53am PGB:

I once traumatized a busload of people by including a series of hooks from HL&tN on a mix tape played over the sound system. One hook after another was too much to take.
Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 4:55am mariano:

Did people seriously call in to complain?
Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 4:57am PGB:

I was on the bus. The passengers didn't complain, but it was too much for the bus driver and he ejected the tape!
Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 5:00am mariano:

Oh no, sorry, I thought you said during the break that someone had called the station and complained about the HL!
Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 5:03am Whooda:

@PGB Bus driver's are the world's worst art critics. Am I right?
Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 5:05am PGB:

Ah, did I confuse things? The great listener called in to obsess over the scary baby-o that we heard. Kinda makes me jump outta my skin, too.
Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 5:07am mariano:

Oh, I get it, @PGB. Thanks!
Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 5:07am PGB:

@Whooda The bus driver put up with a bunch of the esoteric stuff on my tape, but the HL&tN hook medley was probably affecting his ability to drive.
Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 5:09am Whooda:

@PGB Haha, that's funny. You FMU DJs are demons when it comes to keeping me up and away from competing interests. Good night, good morning, good weekend, good bye.
Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 5:10am PGB:

Connect next time, Whooda!
Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 5:10am mariano:

'Night, Whooda!
Avatar Sat. 4/5/14 5:12am Whooda:
