Also worth mentioning that Ralph plays piano, too. I loved how all the guys in Oregon played a number of instruments, and they'd switch around. By the way, Irene, I was at that Procal show at the Felt Forum too. Yes, JDS managed to hold the crowd's attention admirably.

Irene, maybe there's a crumb under your "r" on the keyboard? I've had that happen when a certain key just doesn't cooperate even when struck. [as in Wold and Rathbun?]

@Kat330 I recently replaced the keyboard on my seven year old laptop and quickly discoverd that a few of the keys are slightly different in shape, size or placement. The agravation is unbearable because three of those 'different' keys are: enter, tab and delete. Arrrggh!

V-Priceless, yes I remember being knocked out (all of 17 years old) by Procal's drummer and carrying him on my "best drummers" list for years. Doug, some of the volunteers were talking last night about how pledges were likely to continue coming in even after the gong. Was it last year or the year before when goal was made in the middle of Scott's show? Reason to be optimistic that this year will be another of the same.

Okay, about that KaTe Bush dream....I was about to crash tonight and suddenly the whole thing came flooding back at me. I had to get up to note it here. While I don't remember the tune or lyrics, here is what I remember, and this is the first time EVER I have had a dream with the Goddess KaTe in my dreams (and it so goes with your show theme!):

In my house, I notice none other than KaTe Bush roaming around. No idea how or why. But as a HUGE KaTe Fan I am DYING to tell somebody. I don't. After a time, I approach KaTe, finally, to let her know that I have been silent, and have told nobody she is here, not even my closest friends, or those I know are also KaTe fans. I ask her to consider that, how loyal I have been, and ask her if she might be recording something new? Can you please share ANYTHING with me as a reward? (songwise I mean, this is G rated)

She smiles and relents and asks me to follow her to her room...in my house...she pulls out a sheet of music, which she had been composing. It is not typical music at all. It is a bunch of vertical lines down a page, not "musical" in the true sense, but meaningful to KaTe. She starts to sing a little of it, and notes that it is not traditional, but sing-song voice type of music. It was wonderful. And THEN she starts to sing a true traditional song to me that was Heavenly. It was pretty brief, not more than four or so lines. She told me with a shockingly shy smile that she had been writing it for ME. I asked her then if she intended it for a new album...? She told me, again shyly, no, that it wasn't near good enough for anything like that.

And then the kindest fate ever turned cruel and I awoke. Or perhaps that was the kindest thing? If I hadn't, would I ever had remembered any of that once in a lifetime dream?

I doubt it.

That. Was. Incredible.

So incredible I just wanted to share. And I am not making any of this up. I feel like God granted me a wish that I didn't even know I really was wishing.

Hoping for many happy returns.....in 3...2...1....

TALK ABOUT GOD GRANTING ME A WISH!!

Did I have a premonition of Kate performing Live???

WOW.

AND I GOT A TICKET!!!!!!!!!

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Avatar 11:05pm
Van in DC:

Well. Anyway. I want to say that my dream about KaTe was real. It was days before she announced the live shows. I had no idea. I never suspected. When I found out from Doug Schulkind on his GTDR radio show on Friday that KaTe was "touring", I was blown away. That was well after all of this.

I do not believe in coincidence. I have never, ever dreamed of KaTe before, especially not a dream so real, so life-like. It was surreal.

On several levels, I think I experienced a miracle. At least three that I can think of (levels that is).

I am THRILLED to have a lone solitary ticket to go see KaTe! It is a dream come true, it is a LIFE EVENT.

It is what I have been living for. This is it.

THANK YOU GOD for giving me the dream...I failed to interpret it, who could have? Nobody. Nevertheless - THANK YOU.

September 10th can't come fast enough.
