Two years ago i had ongoing Twitter exchange with the then newly crowned Miss America. She sang God BLess America in rain at like 2 am at Yankee Stadium. i sent her a message saying it was a great performance under circumstances. She replied right away and was quite cool. @Joe: A single Robert Plant single is NEVER enough. You forgot the first rule of Record Club: "Buy ALL the Robert Plant singles." (I'd talk more like a pirate today, but I think my coworkers would strangle me if I did)

Maybe there should be an official segment where you play the most messed-up, scratchy, cruddy record you can find.

I am suprised how solo Plant has moved people younger than me. My friends adore his solo albums, and I'm getting the same vibe here. I just never can get used to him singing without Led Zep behind him.

I have a dough hook at home too!

My scratchiest disc is an old Hanna Barbera platter featuring Huckleberry Hound, Pixie & Dixie, etc ... It's barely audible through all the scratches. One day I shall burn it to MP3 and clean it. It is decreed.
