Well, it seems those around Springfield who absolutely must go to an Applebee's...need to go to Route 1 south of Alexandria (most likely option for those of you passing through on 95). Oldest is probably the old reel-to-reel machine. My parents already had it when I was born, and I suspect that they had had it for at least a decade before it. So it's anywhere from 33 to around 50 years old. And my old stereo or VCR.

It's one of those weird things. We'll be the only generation that used minidiscs. We're also the only generation that knows how to program a VCR. No one before us, and no one else throughout the rest of history will ever need to know how to do that.

Man, I wish I was at my occasional work place. They have a storeroom of old tech gadgets, including their old computers and the boxes of punch cards that you used to program them.
