what a great start !!!!
Avatar Sun. 1/20/13 6:10am Thomas:

Hi, Jay! yeah, was looking forward to that one..
Avatar Sun. 1/20/13 6:12am fred:

Good morning Thomas and Jay
Avatar Sun. 1/20/13 6:14am Jay/London:

morning fred hope you are warm
Avatar Sun. 1/20/13 6:15am Jay/London:

i should go out in this snow to get food in .. but what the hell I got coffee and wfmu what more do I need
Avatar Sun. 1/20/13 6:22am Jay/London:

nurse with wound .. should get a nurse to fix it !
Avatar Sun. 1/20/13 6:22am fred:

I'm warm enough, but kinda snowed in: all bus lines are stopped, a few trains might be running. I still plan to go to a show this afternoon, but I won't if it takes walking there
Avatar Sun. 1/20/13 6:23am Jay/London:

where are you fred ?
Avatar Sun. 1/20/13 6:30am Thomas:

fred, how heavy was the storm? didn't realize you guys got dumped on
Avatar Sun. 1/20/13 6:32am fred:

I'm in the suburbs of Paris. Walking to that show would take me something like a couple of hours at best
Avatar Sun. 1/20/13 6:33am fred:

@Thomas: It wasn't a storm at all. There might be something like one inch of snow, maybe two in places. It doesn't happen all that often, so it wrecks havoc on the transit system, it's embarrassing.
Avatar Sun. 1/20/13 6:36am Jay/London:

yeah the same here in london most of the network down and -6 c with chill factor now it's snowing hard
Avatar Sun. 1/20/13 6:38am Jay/London:

bob seger * :)
Avatar Sun. 1/20/13 6:40am fred:

The main reason why I won't walk to that gig: the venue isn't heated, so chances are they will cancel. I don't have a mobile phone, so I'd just show up and have to head back home
Avatar Sun. 1/20/13 6:42am Jay/London:

don't go fred it's not worth it just stay home with wfmu
Sun. 1/20/13 6:56am Brian in Snowland:

Mornin' Thomas, Jay 'n Fred. Sorry to hear about the show Fred. Our transport system is holding up at the moment. Not too cold today just walked the dog now celebrating No.3 daughters' birthday.
Sun. 1/20/13 6:57am Brian in Snowland:

Jay, didja hear that Bill Mac has a third fracture newly discovered.
Avatar Sun. 1/20/13 6:58am fred:

You're the voice of wisdom Jay. It pisses me off because they're good people and they will probably lose money
Good morning Brian, and happy birthday to your daughter! How old is she?
Sun. 1/20/13 7:02am Brian in Snowland:

23 years young. I can remember that, it was 1975.
Avatar Sun. 1/20/13 7:07am Thomas:

Agh! News to me about Bill's newly discovered fracture. Wishin him the very best.
Avatar Sun. 1/20/13 7:16am fred:

Each new release makes me more appreciative of how Lightning Bolt remain interesting while retaining what made me like them in the first place
Avatar Sun. 1/20/13 7:20am Jay/London:

@ Brian oh no thought it was just the one Bill had .. will email him .. he just might be listening in
Avatar Sun. 1/20/13 7:41am fred:

Sun. 1/20/13 8:12am Brian in Snowland:

The Mekon was originally in The Eagle comic if memory serves.

Like the photo, Mike.
Avatar Sun. 1/20/13 8:15am Mike East:

@Brian - that photo was taken last easter, but looks very similar to today here
Avatar Sun. 1/20/13 8:16am Jay/London:

you are right Brian used to read it years ago
Sun. 1/20/13 8:22am Mrs. Bill Mac:

Hey Thomas, Hey Jay... Doctors originally thought he had 2 fractures in his ankle and casted the leg. His 10 day follow-up x-ray showed the fractures were not healing so a x-ray of the knee was ordered and a 3rd fracture was found. Bill is recovering at home from emergency surgery on Friday were they placed pins his ankle.
Avatar Sun. 1/20/13 8:25am Philo Gristle:

Jon Langford of Mekons is the brother of famed science fiction writer David Langford so I reckon a lot of Fleetway magazines in that household growing up. Hello, all!
Avatar Sun. 1/20/13 8:25am Jay/London:

Thanks Mrs Bill Mac For the info please give him my very best wishes and hope he is not in any pain
Avatar Sun. 1/20/13 8:26am fred:

Best wishes to Bill
Avatar Sun. 1/20/13 8:28am fred:

Good morning Philo, I guess you can have a good laugh reading our complaints about barely noticeable snow
Sun. 1/20/13 8:31am Brian in Snowland:

@ Mrs M Will Bill still be able to play the piano?

@Philo I am still trying to get my hands on a collaboration twixt Jon Langford & Richard Buckner.
Avatar Sun. 1/20/13 8:32am Philo Gristle:

Morning Fred! I'm in midwest USA now, with no snow on the ground. Might get 10F (-14C) next week, and some flurries. As cold as it gets here. I miss snow! Sometimes.
Avatar Sun. 1/20/13 8:34am Thomas:

Thanks, Mrs. B.M. - Give Bill my best for me? Hope he's back on his foot soon
Avatar Sun. 1/20/13 8:34am Philo Gristle:

@Brian I really liked Devotion + Doubt, came across it through Howe Gelb. Everything is connected!
Avatar Sun. 1/20/13 8:34am Thomas:

Hey, Philo, Mike, Richard, Ken!
Avatar Sun. 1/20/13 8:34am Jay/London:

@ philo you are very welcome to our snow
Avatar Sun. 1/20/13 8:35am Thomas:

Mike Kelley films still available - 201.209.9368!
Avatar Sun. 1/20/13 8:35am fred:

You wouldn't miss the slippery grey-brown sludge we call snow in these parts. I'll really eager to go out before the fresh stuff turns into that mess
Avatar Sun. 1/20/13 8:37am Philo Gristle:

Hi Thomas & Jay! And yeah, mostly I miss a lazy, quiet Sunday morning cross-country skiing experience in the wilderness. Not urban snow on a morning you have to go to work.
Avatar Sun. 1/20/13 8:37am Jay/London:

oh fred no hope of that for this week it will freeze tonight
Avatar Sun. 1/20/13 8:37am fred:

"I'll" means "I'm"; ugh, I suck at multitasking
Avatar Sun. 1/20/13 8:40am fred:

@Jay: just great, a layer of packed snow/ice underneath the sludge
  Sun. 1/20/13 8:42am jeroen kuster:

greetings from rotterdam Netherlands
Jeroen
Sun. 1/20/13 8:43am Brian in Snowland:

@ Philo would really recommend Buckners last 'Our Blood' The weather we get here is nothing compared to the land of 1000 lakes.
Avatar Sun. 1/20/13 8:43am Jay/London:

yeah and i guess all the transport will not be running.. slip sliding on the side walks
Avatar Sun. 1/20/13 8:46am Philo Gristle:

@Brian Will check it out, thanks! Where in UK are you? This is a/k/a Brian in UK, right?
Avatar Sun. 1/20/13 8:47am Philo Gristle:

Hi Jeroen!
Avatar Sun. 1/20/13 8:47am Thomas:

Déficit des Années Antérieures!!!
Sun. 1/20/13 8:53am Brian in Snowland:

Sure is Philo, I am in Watford about 15-20 miles north west of London. Adjacent to John Betjamin's Metroland.
Avatar Sun. 1/20/13 8:54am fred:

@Jay: I still might weasel out today, but I'll be seeing a show tomorrow, no matter what. It won't be a day when I can just go to work and get back home
Sun. 1/20/13 8:56am Brian in Snowland:

Meteroland is not a theme park, more suburbia
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metro-land
Avatar Sun. 1/20/13 8:57am Philo Gristle:

@Brian Ah, Avengers country! Growing up with tons of British tv I feel like I know UK, but I've only briefly touched down and changed planes there.
Avatar Sun. 1/20/13 8:58am Mike East:

had a crying baby on my hands for a minute there. great show Thomas. thanks for a nice morning. stay warm, all
Sun. 1/20/13 8:59am Brian in Snowland:
