Scratchy vanity 45s, pilfered field recordings, muddy off-the-radio sounds, homemade congregational tapes and vintage commercial gospel throw-downs; a little preachin', a little salvation, a little audio tomfoolery.

Hey all. Sorry about the lack of a comments the last two weeks. I just could not manage (barely) the Marathon shows plus the playlist.

And thanks to all who pledged!

You did an awful lot of phone shifts, it sounded like. What was that like? Did you get to do any "you stuff" in NY/NJ? Any old gospel record searching?

Mark T in VT:

Thanks, Kevin. South.

NYC is a horrible place to look for records. I always go to bookstores, Strand and St Marks especially.

Mark T: You are welcome.

G:

What kind of books do you look for (if that's not intrusive)?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:24pm
sinner:

Books: funky small press literature, especially in translation; academic studies on music and ethnomusicology; left wing political science and history.

Got it, thanks!
