  9:14am
15M-Spanish revolution:

Sorry to disturb but deeply think this needs to be known:

You just have to see what's going on in Spain, almost everyday since the 15th of may and in every city.

  9:18am
pierre:

Its raining in Paris to :(

Thanks to keep everyone aware Spanish Revolution, even though, we are not far, the news don't talk a lot about this in France. :( x 2
  9:26am
15M-Spanish revolution:

News are even hidden in Spanish media. That's why we have to talk about it in Internet. It's is very easy to find in the web for anyone who wants.

I'm not afraid of sayinng this is close to a new way of civil war, if not a real revolution. Power to the people. We're people, aren´t we?

I hope all this will have a happy end.
  9:28am
Jay/ London:

I did not know monks played this kind of stuff
  9:29am
postmanpaul:

Hey pierre, do our cousins listen to fip, I wonder?! While vaguely similar to 'fmu in concept but not in content and philosophy, like bbc radio it's an advertising free zone. In Brighton UK, we can just pick up the terrestrial signal which is pumped up to full strength by a 'concealed' transmitter here.
  9:32am
Jay/ London:

@ postmanpaul is that station on the web ... and where would i find it on the radio
  9:33am
clyde stubblefield:

you would think this program should be called "Give the drummer some!"
  9:38am
postmanpaul:

Hi Jay, and if I may, Scott... FIP is a Radio France (their BBC) station...you'll get there.. It has a 'cult' following down here and for 5 or so years The Prince Albert pub has featured fip evenings.
  9:41am
Scott:

Please by all means.
  9:47am
Jay/ London:

@ postmanpaul You can listen to fip on the web
  9:51am
Jay/ London:

in london we have reelrockradio been going now for just over a year
  9:53am
yair Yona (Tel Aviv, Earth):

I made it just in time!
  9:56am
pierre:

yeah ! i love FIP to !
created in 1968, ad free, and with lovely woman voices speaking.
(it stand for France Inter Paris) > it is not as eclectic as fmu though, and not as funny to listen to, but its a great radio.
  9:56am
pierre:

there you have their website : http://sites.radiofrance.fr/chaines/fip/accueil/
  10:00am
Jay/ London:

sorry got the name wrong its called ( reel rebels radio )
http://www.reelrebelsradio.com/ like wfmu but not so good they are woring on it
  10:03am
William:

Sometimes the music is slow, sometimes it's not so slow.
  10:07am
yair Yona (Tel Aviv, Earth):

My cousin works inFIP , nice station indeed
  10:14am
pierre:

Could i meet your cousin Yair !
if he is looking for somebody to work with at the radio.
  10:15am
yair Yona (Tel Aviv, Earth):

Pierre, not sure she is in a position. To make a hiring decision ...
  10:21am
pierre:

yeah, no worries, i tried
  10:23am
Drummer Some:

Clyde, I heard that.
  10:25am
other david:

Awesome transition into YLT :)

Loving this show
  10:26am
Dead Corporate Eyes:

happy Friday to everyone.
  10:27am
yair Yona (Tel Aviv, Earth):

Sorry Pierre
  10:32am
βrian:

Ah yes, France Inter. I love it and have to check in from time to time.
  10:33am
Cecile:

I should check it out.
  10:33am
Cecile:

Bali: Golden Rain is a classic.
  10:43am
Cecile:

I think "Down by the River" would sound good about now...:D
  10:44am
Dead Corporate Eyes:

it always does, no matter the occasion
  10:48am
Cecile:

I loved that Joe Belock suprised us all with something quite provocative and kinda avant garde.
  10:50am
pierre:

France inter is interesting,
you'll have also ; France musique, France Culture; FIP…
it's all part of the same house
(although, sometimes they have strange ways to do things, some shows are reallly awesome)
  10:53am
βrian:

I like the fact that frequent interruptions are not required for station ID, etc. It's possible to let a program develop at it's own pace.
  10:54am
Cecile:

i can also brush up on my awful "menu French".
  10:54am
Minnesota Jeff:

Belock never gave any reasoning behind his random Neil Young meditation either.
  10:55am
pierre:

"menu french" ?
  10:55am
Maria T:

Hi Scott! Tuned in! Sounds great (as always).
  10:56am
Dead Corporate Eyes:

kind of forgot about Brightback Morning Light...good stoner music
  10:59am
Cecile:

MN Jeff, that's what was beautiful about it.
Pierre, I cook for fun and read menus. I know lots of French food words.
  11:01am
Handsome Harry:

Rallyin'.
  11:02am
pierre:

all right that's (filet) mignon !
  11:02am
Maria T:

I ♥ PSEU - glad to hear she's back on the air!
  11:04am
Cecile:

LOL! Yeah. I even got a joke in Montreal - they had a map of restaurants called "Montreal a la carte." And I felt proud of myself for getting it...
  11:07am
Maria T:

YAY RADICAL DADS
  11:07am
βrian:

I find it amusing when American menus include words from multiple languages, as in: Confit de canard alla bolognese, with roasted potatoes.
  11:07am
pierre:

"Montreal a la carte." sounds good, any ways of learning a language is a good way, but trough food , its funnier, i think. btw there is a Monochrome Set song called R.S.V.P. with only french word that english speaking persons use ! It is very funny, and don't make a lot of sense.^^
  11:09am
other david:

radical dads sounding great
  11:09am
Cecile:

Ah, like that song Ken plays with Italian people singing like what they think English sounds like.
  11:10am
Cecile:

Brian, I know. Or everyone calling mayonnaise "aioli". it's the same thing!
  11:12am
pierre:

yeah kind of, only more accurate ^^
there you have it : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rv0gjzGgJhU
and the lyrics : http://www.lyricstime.com/the-monochrome-set-r-s-v-p-lyrics.html

(lots of food talk)

actually i pretty sure Aïloli and mayonaise are different, Aïoli, is mayonaise with garlic.
  11:12am
βrian:

But I think aioli requires copious amounts of garlic. Anyway, I love the stuff.
  11:13am
pierre:

(sorry for sounding "know-it-all" here)
  11:16am
hip:

@Cecil
allioli means 'garlic and oil' in Catalan language and despite looking similar to mayonnaise, it is another sauce.
Allioli is (should be) only oil and garlic (and lots of patience
  11:17am
Cecile:

No, that's true. Except there's a lot of menus here that call all mayonnaise like substances "aioli". A mayo can have no garlic in it, and red peppers, and suddenly it's red pepper aioli. Silly.
  11:17am
hip:

@pierre. no egg, sorry.
  11:17am
pierre:

it goes astoundlngly well with fish
  11:18am
Cecile:

Yeah, hip, but that ain't the case. A lot of stuff here is mayo in aioli clothing...:D
  11:18am
βrian:

Yeah, monsieur je sais tout ! (And traditionally, it requires a mortar and pestle to grind the garlic.)
  11:18am
Cecile:

now, I'm hungry. Well, hungrier.
Don't some people put bread in it, or am I thinking of a Greek sauce?
  11:19am
pierre:

you are totally right hip,
are you from Marseille or something ? ^_^
@Brian : that really not my will, sounding "je sais tout"
  11:19am
hip:

I used to live in Catalonia, where it is from. Sorry for looking so pecky.
  11:20am
hip:

I'm actually from Spain, and fighting in the riot streets latelt.
  11:22am
pierre:

that makes sense
(for the aïoli knowledge and the riots)
good luck to you !
  11:22am
hip:

lately. It's kind of dirty war from the government and against the people lately. I bet you don't have an idea out there.

Blame the media! Big coprporations they suck! Love freeform style.
  11:24am
Cecile:

hey, that's fine. I like tha fact I am RIGHT ABOUT THAT. LOL! It's a good feeling.
  11:24am
βrian:

I think of it as a Provençal dish and it definitely has egg. I've had it served as a finish to bouillabaisse. Yum.
  11:27am
Parq:

This great set by the RadDads, and all you guys can talk about is food? Um, it is pretty close to lunch time, isn't it ...
  11:29am
Maria T:

Sorry to interrupt the food discussion, but this Radical Dads set is great.
  11:30am
pierre:

this should help
(i'm from the north, so don't know a lot about south food traditions, still love to eat it though)

The Radical Dads'sgreat indeed !
  11:32am
?:

Glad you're enjoying it. Hey Maria T!
  11:33am
Maria T:

Hello, Question Mark!
  11:33am
Scott:

Ha that ? was me.
  11:36am
Dead Corporate Eyes:

Missed most of this set...work keeps intruding, rearing its ugly head.
  11:39am
Maria T:

@Scott: Ha. I thought that ? and the Mysterians had stopped by the listener chat.
  11:41am
Cecile:

Isn't the bouillabaise "mayo" called rouille?
  11:41am
miketp:

can i call you dad? easy money
  11:41am
Cecile:

and it was a great set.
  11:42am
pierre:

you are right Cecile (again ^^)
but you can also eat bouillabaise with aïoli.
  11:50am
Cecile:

I would love some bouillabaise. But thanks to my budget and where I'm at, it will probably be a tuna salad sandwich today.
  11:50am
Marmalade Kitty:

Great show today, Scott! :)
  11:53am
hip:

Nice food can be low budget. Now, some places make a difference. :-(

Love music and food! ;-) yummi
  11:54am
Scott:

You all are making me HUNGRY.
  11:54am
Parq:

@Maria T: I've heard ? (as in "and the Mysterians") on FMU, and trust me, if he was here, you would *know* it was him. The guy is six different flavors of flamboyant.
  11:55am
Dead Corporate Eyes:

enjoying the pop ending to the show. Have a great weekend, Scott.
  11:56am
hip:

nice weekend Scott. And sorry for the menu side conversation. ;-)
  11:56am
pierre:

i've ate a "steack Tartare" today !
with bearnaise sauce and french fries…
it was partying in my mouth.
  11:57am
Scott:

Thanks everyone! See you next week.
  11:57am
Maria T:

@Parq ONLY SIX flavors of flamboyancy? NOT FLAMBOYANT ENOUGH FOR MY TASTE. I prefer 32 flavors!
  11:58am
hip:

I had some tartare in Nantes a few months ago and loved it. Here we just it raw meat as 'jambon' :-)
  11:58am
J J:

Cheers
  11:59am
Swami:

Loved what I caught of the show. Sadly, i had to sit through an hour presentation on how Seniors in NY are gonna get more of the shaft in regard to prescription drug assistance through EPIC. or what was known as EPIC.
