Is there ever a time of the year when surfish music isn't appropriate in some form, Mr. DJ?
  3:26am

...I believe they pronounce the "u" in "Papua." Remarkable, eclectic programming. Love you all, especially Jesse! Nice hearing you, too, Dom!
  4:39am
greysoul:

Having two folks live in the wheelhouse is neat, because my mental image of the 'FMU studio ranges from '50s-era high-school gym to, like, concrete payphone.
  4:57am
cable:

greysoul: yes! they sure create various studio visages on the air: from big, open to small, secular. i totally imagine it as a (somewhat compromised) gym, but would be thrilled if in fact it was the latter-- a treehouse version, perhaps-- with double decker rotary attendees, hee, hee!
  5:14am
cache:

if you've ever seen this guy's installations, they're pretty great, competely microscopic layouts, with petree dishes, colored pigments & little rocks that become animated with the frequencies of sound. the totally delicate sound percollates nicely over it all
  5:28am
greysoul:

R.I.P. Jack Rose

  5:35am
shlep:

he's one of the artists that had this ability, for me when he played, to convey this gentle, very particular--perhaps personal--narrative in your mind, both external to & illustrative of, the song. if that registers
  5:43am
waterchesnut:

oh, weird. didn't realize it was a death anniversary.. spooky :-( ee
