Listener comments!

  3:06am
Adam:

Nice version, sir. I am sorry it has taken me until now to listen to your show, but then again, I knew you in the before time, the long, long ago.
  3:09am
jj.:

g'morning everybody. g'morning, mr. ballin'!
  3:11am
coalhard:

it is not easy transitioning to new dj--but here goes--I LIKE IT!!!
  3:13am
Adam:

Don't know if I'll last all three hours, but I'm glad to tune in for a few, at least. Happy Thanksgiving, you budding media presence! Never knew this one was yet another record by Tommy James. Bubblegum and balls in your tastes, as always.
  3:18am
zigzag zither:

nice sad, sweet, ed askew! don't know this one..
  3:24am
Adam:

You even hooked us up with Cream Puff War! I could kiss you right now!
  3:27am
coalhard:

unlike NASA that hides all the good stuff --WFMU invades every crevice of the mind and leaves a receipt
  3:42am
Adam:

They sang the album title "A La Piscina," which could be roughly "To the Swimming Pool," although "piscina" could also refer to the place where sacramental liquids are disposed of. I couldn't discern too many lyrics clearly, but there was a somewhat church-derived quality to the sound.
  3:47am
jj.:

Thx for the translation, AWB!
  3:51am
ying yang wave:

Hello, Adam! Interesting insight into "swimming pool": I guess the Romans used to thro fish into them, when they invented the thing, and the word. Totally awesome knowing that basin began as a sacrament. If only our military forces did exercises with the fishes, right!?
  3:55am
Adam:

One can only hope? Band is from Catalonia, Spain, if I'm not mistaken. It is a Latin word originally, indeed, but they were singing in a younger tongue, like Spanish or Catalan, both proud descendents thereof.
  4:01am
yoyo wave:

When the latin descendents make their way into this local show scene--wherever "this" may be-- perhaps someone will yell from the audience-- "what is the origin of the swimming pool??! Or,, do you consider swimming pools holy"
  4:04am
coalhard:

shoplifting of swimming pools is always a bad idea--gets the floor mats wet
  4:05am
Adam:

It was a word for fish-pond, later applied, like so many words, to other things: other bodies of water, reservoirs, pools, etc. Rest assured I consider little or nothing holy, but I am pretty sure if we all work together, we could shoplift a swimming pool. Yes we could?
  4:08am
Ypsilon slingshot:

Oh, god. Let's start with the liquid...? BTW, you've gotta have your 'holy'
  4:09am
Adam:

Hell, we could even shiplift a church!
  4:10am
wilderness wave:

speaking of that, i've been avoiding caffeine late night for weeks, but maybe it's time to turn that tea-leaf
  4:10am
Adam:

..shoplift...
  4:10am
coalhard:

OMG--SECURITY--ADAM SANDLER IS ON HERE
  4:11am
Adam:

If only I had his funds!
  4:12am
inkblot algorithm:

oh, shiplift is much more beautiful! don't tell me you can steal a church without believing in the 'h' word,, our -- "h" -- word. ... okay, now 4 some tea
  4:14am
Adam:

Anything's possible. Tea for all.
  4:16am
anagram alias:

Oh, just had an idea: maybe you could use the DJ's iceberg to remove the church? <thinking of "shiplift"> It could be like an eclipse, perhaps only attributable to higher forces :-)
  4:17am
coalhard:

i have to go --love you guys!!--thanks jesse!!!!
  4:17am
pitter patter pounce:

And maybe Adam Sandler would do the honors?? Like riding a giant ice buffalo
  4:18am
Adam:

Eureka! The iceberg...perfect...quick thinking! Goodnight to you, coalhard! Until we meet again!
  4:19am
coalhard:

goodnight zohan
  4:21am
boomerang bounce:

i found some leftover white tea from like, a bunchof hours ago. (goes well with the gamelon.) will do for now. what kind do you guys drink?
  4:22am
Adam:

If it's good to you, it's good for you.
  4:23am
stepladder synesthesia:

when i first moved to nyc, i think sun ra was the first new thing somebody turned me on to. pretty sweet sonic emergence for anybody's mind
  4:29am
coalhard:

now that you mention it --there is sound coming out of my computer in surround sound
  4:35am
phantasm phorensics:

Awesome song! Nice squeaky reverb thang on there
  4:44am
Adam:

The frog and peach! I love you, Jesse!
  4:44am
greysoul:

Yes! Peaches!!!!!
  5:05am
wobble ascension.:

Oowee! Greysoul, let the sparkly drone deliver you! :)
  5:15am
<--->:

I had a cat once that ran away. Thank goodness I didn't try to follow it or reclaim it back, seeing what happened to this character in this Murakami book.
  5:17am
Kafka on the shore:

I am going mad - all because of WFMU
  5:17am
greysoul:

Cats always know when it's time to go. They're the ultimate dinner guests. You have to trust them.
  5:20am
dog:

i hate cats
  5:21am
Urban Spaceman:

do I exist?
  5:21am
jj.:

sorry to hear that, kafka. perhaps this experimental australian film soundtrack will help.
  5:21am
Lavatory Wall:

You might.
  5:23am
rorschach ricochet:

Yeah, R u ready for a wormhole?: my cat left 3 disparaging metaphors -- the most excruciating was tearing up the outline of a heart on a pillow & then depositing it on the bed overnight -- "breaking your heart" & it used to hide in my piano for hours, playing somber Monk-like slurs with its feet on the way in -- & it crouched over a book called "in times of peril" next to some dry thistles, & i think we mutually decided we'd had enough!
  5:23am
Lavatory Wall:

E-Nr number for my broken washing machine is WFR2866GB/01 come and fix it
  5:25am
greysoul:

... and they know how to make an exit, as well.
  5:29am
triangle wave:

Yes! This one seriously transpired through the walls without even an open door or window & made it back to its former abode. Perhaps the exit shouldn't 've been promulgated by giving it a bath. Poorrr Feline!
  5:30am
greysoul:

Ah - a clean exit.
  5:32am
square wave:

Eye, but not clean language in this late hour. Hour goe'st it, Greysoul?
  5:34am
greysoul:

Clomping the deck with one eye on the weather. (The other obscured by an eyepatch.)
  5:35am
sine wave:

And, JJ? I think my wormhole was brought on by this extended audio accompaniment...
  5:36am
jj.:

deep on the other side, dank you vedy much!
  5:38am
greysoul:

Oh - and before I forget: roast slowly and baste often for best results, everybody!
  5:43am
mime method:

Aye, you both!! Greysoul, are you fishing nautical turkeys off of starboard? Make sure you give 'im lots o' seeeaa salt
  5:47am
greysoul:

Dang.

I went to scratch my shoulder and gored my inflatable parrot with my hook.

There goes that.
  5:50am
migrating mirror:

O, no! Now you won't be the only one wearing a patch, G!
  5:55am
greysoul:

Good Lord - I never even knew this existed. Good one, Mr. DJ!

Boy ... I hope he does those low E-moans again on the fade.
  5:59am
goodnight wave:

fare thee well, Thanksgiving'ers!!
  6:00am
greysoul:

Ahh - he went high on the outro.

Leave it to the King to know how to make an exit.

Happy Birds to y'all.
