Good morning Jason!

Hey, check this band out when you get a chance. I think you might like 'em. I especially like their latest album.

i hope al simones becomes a huge stadium act, playing for 120,000 of the faithful in the hot swamps of southern new jersey

Tue. 8/18/09 9:19am From: jason

good mornin every1! thanks for the link fms, ill check em out l8r. nasok, i really like that image

Tue. 8/18/09 9:24am From: Parq

Funny, but so much of what I hear on FMU these past few days seems to have echos of late-60s music -- that Red Dirt, for instance. I must have Woodstock on the brain.

Tue. 8/18/09 9:31am From: Dum Dum Guy at the Gates of Dawn

Much like the moon landing, I question whether Woodstock ever actually happened. I have long suspected it was manufactured by the government to turn the larger population against the youth movement - an attempt that ultimately backfired. Imagine the technological sophistication necessary to pull off this charade.

Tue. 8/18/09 9:41am From: Cecile

Good morning all.
Jason.
Thin Lizzy would be nice, if you're into it.

Tue. 8/18/09 9:41am From: jason

SO into it!

Tue. 8/18/09 9:43am From: Cecile

NIce. Good!
I have to get this rastakraut. Next paycheck.

Tue. 8/18/09 9:46am From: Parq

Dum, interesting theory there. I'll get back to you as soon as I deal with the CIA's ongoing attempts to read my mind with laser beams.

Tue. 8/18/09 9:48am From: Cecile

Dudes. We now have an Airsteam camper in St. Paul that parks and cooks food and HAS TACOS!
I just have to stalk it on Twitter to find it...

Tue. 8/18/09 9:55am From: Dum Dum Guy at the Gates of Dawn

Parq - I hear 'ya. I have had some success with wrapping my head in aluminum foil. It distorts the brain waves enough that all the Agency can read is gibberish.

Tue. 8/18/09 9:58am From: stingy d

whew! i have a computer again! life is trying real hard to be good. i guess, ultimately, it is. what's up everybooody! hey jason!

Tue. 8/18/09 9:59am From: Cecile

you're pitchy dude. Keep it the hell up.

awesome, stinge. Just ride it and enjoy.

Tue. 8/18/09 9:59am From: risky!

GET EM JAY! KEEP IT HOPPIN YA KNOW?

Tue. 8/18/09 10:00am From: still b/p

Same darkly resourceful forces that over-reached and failed to monkey-wrench the social mechanics with elaborate Woodstock illusions were more successful, and probably earned bonuses, with Altamont puppet show. Chief architect/conjurer probably has a broken pool cue mounted above fireplace at home.

Tue. 8/18/09 10:05am From: dc pat

still, nicely put.

Tue. 8/18/09 10:07am From: Cecile

this Dr. Victor sounds like CHico Science

Tue. 8/18/09 10:12am From: dc pat

to me it soundslike somebody I'd like to hang out with..

Tue. 8/18/09 10:16am From: Cecile

If he were alive, you would want to hang out with Chico Science, I bet.

Tue. 8/18/09 10:19am From: Parq

@'Cile re 9:48 - I love food vans like that. There's a burrito van down the road from my kid's college that may be my favorite place to have lunch in that area.

Tue. 8/18/09 10:21am From: Cecile

YES
Nice. They have burgers, tacos, pulled pork, frieds and cake. I'm so looking forward to trying it out.

Tue. 8/18/09 10:25am From: Cecile

ROCK

Tue. 8/18/09 10:45am From: Carmichael

Good morning Jason and everyone. Thanks for playing the Lizzy I missed.

Cecile, meant to tell you I got the FoTC CD for my birthday.

Tue. 8/18/09 10:46am From: Cecile

Did you like it, carm? I like how they expanded some of the songs a lot.

Tue. 8/18/09 10:49am From: Carmichael

Absolutely. It's quirky and inventive. Very entertaining. So far, Song For the Ladies is my favorite.

Tue. 8/18/09 10:52am From: Cecile

I do love that one. And that musical number is probably my favorite from the TV show.
My favorite is Most Beautiful Girl - I love the fade out at the end. They can sing, even though they pretend not to.

Here's the official clip for Ladies which is different, but also funny:

Tue. 8/18/09 10:55am From: Carmichael

Thanks, I'll check it out between work tasks.

Tue. 8/18/09 10:58am From: Carmichael

Parq, since you're stuck in the 60s today, here's one for you: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5JHN5HaUg28

Tue. 8/18/09 11:00am From: Cecile

Tortoise were a great backup band for Tom Ze

Tue. 8/18/09 11:00am From: annie

i've been listening.. really, just figuring out how to create a fan page on FB.. easier than i thought.

Tue. 8/18/09 11:02am From: Cecile

nice! what kind of fan page, annie?

Tue. 8/18/09 11:02am From: Parq

Thanks, Carm. Will check it out when I get home tonight. My strangely Orwellian work puter won't show me the Youtubes. 'Cile, included in my swag this year was FotC 1st Season, via Trouble. Watched "Bowie", had fun explaining it to my daughter and her BF.

Tue. 8/18/09 11:04am From: Cecile

Nice, Parq! That's a great episode. It's got it going on. Season 2 just came out, too.

Tue. 8/18/09 11:07am From: Cecile

Tue. 8/18/09 11:31am From: C

i may be a complete idiot but how do i download from the free music archive? can i get a seperate file or do they only work in the context of the page?

Tue. 8/18/09 11:33am From: jason

hey C, there should be down arrows next to each track to download. If you're not seeing them, you may need to install a newer version of flash from here http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

Tue. 8/18/09 11:40am From: C

ah...got it.,
thanks jason!
