What's the big deal about seeing celebrities in NEW YORK? Celebrities I have seen walking the streets of New York City: Jack Klugman, John-John Kennedy, Julianne Moore, the guy that played Gil Chesterton on "Frazier," Alec Baldwin, Bill Cosby. Edward Albee sat across the aisle from me at a performance of *Happy Days* at BAM and directly behind me at *Macbeth* on Broadway. Sat across from Steve Earle on an E train. Walked next to Isabella Rossellini at LaGuardia.

I saw Michael Phelps in Columbia, SC, where I live, a couple of months ago. I wasn't sure it was him at first, 'cause like, why would he be in Columbia, SC? Turns out he was in town for a USC/Arkansas football game.
