Photos taken last weekend of one of the many great sculptures on exhibit - both outside on lawn & inside some of the former-military buildings - on Governor's Island. All the art on display for free: as is ferry travel to and from the recently made public island (Sat & Sun thru October). It is just a short boat ride from southern point of Manhattan and the ferry building (Battery Maritime Building) where the boats leave from also houses the David Byrne installation (Alternate PowerPoint Universe) which is free to the public: Fri, Sat, Sun thru August 24.
