Listener comments!

  9:30am
Ike H:

Hey it's an excellent soundtrack for trying to convince my new build to work with uncooperative Verizon DSL which seems to prefer my antiquated old 'puter. Stupid modem. Good show!
  9:30am
barney:

The Tiger Lillies do a disturbingly over-the-top version of "Send in the Clowns", but it has no trombones.
  9:31am
raga:

bethany! good to hear you at this time. i enjoy listening to trouble but this certainly was a pleasant surprise.
  10:19am
north guinea hills:

w/ the insomnia i had last night, i need more abrasive dissonance to stay awake at work today. something like merzbow do-si-do-ing w/ iannis xenakis as a young zorn throws them into a mulcher.....
  10:35am
Wes:

What was the piece with the echoey steel guitars coming out of "DJ Speaks" into the Yuko Ikoma track??
  10:36am
Harvestworks:

Harvestworks loves Stochastic Hit Parade! Got anything by Shelly Hirsch? _Hworks
  10:37am
north guinea hills:

wes, that was from brian eno's "apollo"
  10:38am
north guinea hills:

hey harvestworks, i have a nice 3" cdr of shelly hirsch and toshio kajiwara live in moscow 2003 that toshio gave me. super awesome!
  10:46am
bethany:

hey all - very close on the Brian Eno piece - it's actually "Deep Blue Day"
  10:48am
Wes:

Thanks, ngh. Not sure why I don't own that, being a big time GYBE fan and all...
  10:50am
Wes:

Right..."Deep Blue Day" from the album Apollo: Atmospheres and Soundtracks, 1983....Thanks bethany!
  10:52am
Gregory:

Hey, it's great to hear you again during the daytime, Bethany!
  11:02am
bethany:

ah! I cheat all the time and pull that song off of the Trainspotting soundtrack. I stand corrected, NGH! You had it right!!
  11:05am
dc pat:

this sounds la lot like Shostakovich...
  11:15am
jonathan:

the johnny greenwood stuff is nice.
  11:16am
Thom:

Great sets of music... thanks!
What record was the Ligeti piece from?
  11:23am
bethany:

The Ligeti is Edition 6: (Keyboard Works) from the Sonly Classical Series. [The AMAZING mechanical music pieces are on Edition 5]. That harpsichord piece was performed by Elisabeth Chojnacka. Nice, right?
  11:28am
Thom:

Yeah, really cool music... thank you for playing it.
  11:51am
b:):

thanks for making the work day sound better!
  11:54am
j d:

Wow. What an amazing string quartet by Jonny Greenwood. I can't wait to hear where his talent and versatility will take him in the coming years...
  12:00pm
Wes:

Johnny always stated he was influenced heavily by the early Pink Floyd, so I knew good things were to come....
  6:53pm
Holly:

That version of send in the clowns by lorez is incredible... I've always been looking for great lorez tracks ever since I heard her version of "baltimore oriole" (many years ago) but never find much. What album is 'SITC' on? has it been rereleased (I'm just assuming the original was on vinyl)?
  2:06pm
Jon:

I've been listening since Jan 2008. I think I may have listened to every show (a little more than half from the archives) since 2008. I'm continueing on into the past. It's a great show.
