	2:51pm Ellen: I think recording and performing are two different disciplines. Most bands—if they're truly bands—probably honed their material and sound playing live, and it's usually worth seeing them even if they're just doing covers. The ability to make a good record, however, can lie with producers and engineers as much as the performers—even more sometimes. While some people can do both, being able to male good recordings doesn't necessarily translate to being good on stage.

	2:51pm Ellen: I think recording and performing are two different disciplines. Most bands—if they're truly bands—probably honed their material and sound playing live, and it's usually worth seeing them even if they're just doing covers. The ability to make a good record, however, can lie with producers and engineers as much as the performers—even more sometimes. While some people can do both, being able to male good recordings doesn't necessarily translate to being good on stage.
