	♥ 3:24pm nycmusicnerd: ↳ Sean T-Rex @3:21 I hated HS too. Big on jocks, treated artsy/theatre/music types like roadkill. I had nothing to lose by leaving. I bailed out halfway through my senior year and started college early. Best decision I ever made.

Teacher said "If you, or anyone else, don't like the way I'm teaching this class, you're welcome to leave". I packed my books, left, and all but 2 people joined me. I could be as weird as I wanted, play sports I enjoyed, hang out with the hippies, the theatre people, the music people. High school is never easy, but I was very, very lucky.

Some people never leave Long Island, which is sad cause there is a whole world out there. When I went to college I met a lot of like minded people. People who wanted to experience different things. Admittedly, it was the fact that my parents totally backed my play, and laughed at the teacher in the principal's office when he suggested any punishment. @Sean it's nice to be that bridge, and bring different people together, who are in different 'groups'.

There are people there who live out their entire lives not knowing or caring what else is out there. I thank the Higher Power that when I was looking for jobs out of grad school, the one that found me brought me to this neck of the woods.

I was about 2 hours northwest of Pgh, 2 hours south of Erie, and maybe 3 hours southeast of Cleveland. Like I said, literally in the middle of nowhere.

Teacher said "If you, or anyone else, don't like the way I'm teaching this class, you're welcome to leave". I packed my books, left, and all but 2 people joined me. I could be as weird as I wanted, play sports I enjoyed, hang out with the hippies, the theatre people, the music people. High school is never easy, but I was very, very lucky.

There are people there who live out their entire lives not knowing or caring what else is out there.
