This album has a weird history. Super surf session guitarist Jerry Cole and others (probably Wrecking Crew-related) made an instro fake-psych album as The Animated Egg. Couple years later, a European orchestra overdubbed their string parts to make it the "101 Strings" album. Add dif. song titles and album title, and voila! "Astro Sounds..."
