We just planned our first actual trip -- that is, with an airplane and a hotel and tourist things -- since before the pandemic. Just a few days in New Orleans in Feb. Looking forward to it.

The good customers make the day easier and better. You learn to roll with the nasty customers, and how to handle them, and often de-escalate their behaviour. Not all the time, but some of the time. Establishing a relationship with all of the customers, builds a better workplace. Worked retail for most of my life.

As for the "touch spread" aspect of covid or any of the myriad of respiratory diseases currently going around, I have kept a spray bottle of isopropyl alcohol & paper towels in my car since late 2019 & also surgical gloves.
