Not sure I could carry this into the back of my Caddy. But the most money per hour I ever made busking was in Tampere about 10 years ago when I was cycling home from a jam session with my banjo in a backpack and some drunk kids shouted "soita Paranoid" (the Finnish equivalent of Play Free Bird") so I got off the bike and did a quick clawhammer rendition of the song. I'm kind of whipsawed with the interesting threads here this morning... all I can contribute is, on Franco: you might like reading The Disinherited, by Henry Kamen. About Spain's expulsion of Jews, Moors, and, during the Franco era liberals/republicans.

i get tv with over the air antennas, and wpix11 comes in on a downstairs tv and i watch their news. it's interesting to see reporters from wcbs and fox5 end up there like it's some kind of banishment. but 11 has a lot less of the fluff news the other programs force on us so it's not bad at all.

Leadership is useful to negotiate. But anarchists strike fear because there is no head to buy or kill. An incentive for the rulers to compromise.
