First dibs, I guess. I heard the original first, in a Spanish restaurant with my then-gf, both entranced by it, "What is *this?*" One of those moments.

Kind of twee-cool creative process behind the record, sending tapes back and forth through the mail.

“Narcissistic Fantasy of Love & Hope” is either a band name, album title, or perhaps best as a song title.

I don't think I found an 8-bit version; but I had over two hours of covers, so it's tough to remember specifics for each song. Some interesting versions coming up, though.

I admit that I commented from in my shower. With the water spraying, through the shower curtain, over the vent fan noise, and bathroom acoustics it sounds like the Hawaiian uke song.

Right - often pushback on Genre Labels, historically. I guess that's because they usually come from Outside - not from the progenitors themselves ...whether they then get co-opted - & 'repurposed' somewhat - from the Creators later is then the question. True generally I guess for Social Groups - or Movements (Beats, Hippies, Punks...)
But I have heard this more than once re Screamo specifically...
