One of the first films I saw in the theater on my own was Ghostbusters. I took my brothers. We were ENDLESSLY re-enacting scenes, quoting lines. We insisted on having cardboard proton-packs made, for using in the back yard. This movie was pretty influential; I was quoting on the show last week.

It had turned into just a big outdoor party where people got smashed and drunk... Lots of people get arrested.... So, the Local Shibuya government made public gathering that weekend "Illegal"

Yeah. Halloween in Japan is dead. About 20 years ago, it sort of caught on in neibgorhods where foreigners lives. But after the Fukushima nuclear disaster, all the foreigners left Japan (NOT ME!) do halloween took a big hit then. It has been going down every year. Covid didn't hepl and this year the government saying they will not allow Halloween celebrations just kills it I guess: www.youtube.com...
