From what I can tell from sources (Rolling Stone, Page interviews) They have had at least 5 lawsuits filed against them, and of those, at least 2 went to court. What made Led Zeppelin unique?

In some cases the song was sampled or covered. Some cases are still awaiting litigation. James Brown settled one dispute. Led Zeppelin settled six disputes so far, and a seventh was decided in their favor.
