Oh wow, Scotty! Everyone has AC in the South of the U.S.! It's way too brutal without. We all hibernate inside in it unless we're gonna be in a body of water outside! Now, when I lived near the beach in CA, I never had AC. It was nice. You were only hot a handful or so of days where you needed it. So, no biggie

I've never lived in a house with AC mate, I always find a way to get relief. But as Earth gets hotter & I get older I think I may need AC. If the power stays on of course, as everyone cranks the AC in there poorly designed homes.

Wow, Scotty, that's amazing! I guess you have dry heat there? It's humid in the South and no one could imagine not having it here. I don't know how they lived down here before AC. We're very dry, low humidity right now, but I still couldn't stand it, especially since I work from home

We get all kinds of heat mate. Depending where the weather is coming from. I do suffer in the heat some Summers, humidity is the hardest. A dry 47C westerly wind is the scariest though.💨🔥🔥🔥🔥

The meteorologists say it's because of a giant heat dome over the middle of the country and a big low pressure area north of here sorta sucking the hurricane towards us. I hope it dissipates as I have been here during 2-3 subtropical storms and they were VERY bad. I can't imagine what it will be like in a full on tropical storm!

Wow, Neveract! I hope it's not that bad either! I'm in the middle of that heat doam here in Austin. It's been the most brutally hot summer here. Last summer was about the same. August as per usual has been especially hot. We're in the 105+ range every day, no rain for a couple of months now

I was on the roof of my house with a garden hose wetting down embers. Watching fire burn behind a hill about 500 meters from me, hearing gas bottles & cars explode. It was heading into the city centre, but then the wind changed, & the fire fighters held the line.
