Years and years ago, I heard this tune called shoot your radio (on a college NPR station. Where else?) The verses were this Turkey-in-the-Straw type of recitation, but they would end with "Don't choose suicide, just shoot your radio!" Then you heard this Devo like chorus sing "Shoot your radio (whack!) Shoot your radio." It was recorded by the Chicken Chokers and was hysterical. I wish I had a copy of it.

It was on TCM recently. Hadn't seen it since it was on the 4:30 movie after school heavily edited for TV, of course. Robert Townsend was on TCM to give background info before and after the movie. He really told the true story of Eric Monte. It's heartbreaking.

Townsend's daughter Skye is AMAZING herself, by the way.
