DJ Alex Kish:

Welcome to Born Too Late! Today we're interviewing Michael and Johnny from the legendary punk band The Stitches!

Mr Fab:

Hey Alex n crew!

Crazy - I had “Television Addict” in my head this very morning, but didn’t remember who did it. So, thanks!

DJ Alex Kish:

Hey Mr Fab! Happy you stopped in! Glad we could help you remember a song!

David Shortell:

↳ Song: "Submission" by "Sex PIstols"
This has gotta be my least favorite "All Day and All of the Night" ripoff!

↳ David Shortell @6:57
Ha, yeah, I somehow didn’t notice the Kinks influence til now.

An indirect influence, I guess. Lydon wrote in his book that the song was born of his and Matlock's mutual admiration of the Doors ("Hello, I Love You").

I never heard of these Stitches--only the NYC band L.E.S. Stitches who appeared in the movie "Summer of Sam".

Ah, I can hear that.

Funny story about “Submission” - Malcolm McClaren wanted the Pistols to write a song about s&m and bondage and whatnot to be really Controversial! And Outrageous! So they wrote a song called “Submission” but then made it about submarines, just to mess with Malcolm.

Mr Fab:

↳ Song: "Solitary Confinement" by "The Weirdos"
I literally was ‘born too late’ to have experienced the Weirdos during their heyday, but I sure as hell saw Dix Denney play with the gloriously shambolic anarchy that was Thelonious Monster live every chance I could.

DJ Alex Kish:

Interesting story about Sex Pistols Mr Fab!

DJ Alex Kish:
