I saw a great movie they made where they take a critic who hates them on tour with them to Mexico. That takes some nerve. Cool guys. And the bass player is married to my favorite actress ( bastard!!). Fran Healy is a great songwriter.

when the loose aggregation surrounding klaus nomi splintered into several bands, what...? 1979? 80? ish... one of the bands 'strange party', spun off 2 really interesting groups: 'cool it reba', and 'lonesome high'. '...reba' was truly great but i was thinking 'lonesome high'... they sometimes could tell a real story in their songs. you respond to a kind of 'story song'. i dunno...
