Just stepped out for a few minutes to watch the Youngbloods on American Bandstand. All performers were required to lip-sync their hits, but it was still fun to see the band all those many years ago. All in jacket and tie except for Jesse.

Interesting. Joe's background was in Jazz.
I'd agree he's a finesse drummer like Grundy or Bobby Elliot or even Ed Cassidy. Drums tuned perfectly and played with that wonderful mixture of passion and precision.
