Turning over the toy box and jamming together the gloriously mismatched musical Lincoln Logs, Legos and Tinker Toys from Tin Pan Alley pluggers, pickled egg tavern weepers, lockstep soul ensembles, skinny-tie power poppers, Eurotrash ravers, moontanned art school rockers, drunken soccer anthems and anything else that seems like a good idea at the time. There are no guilty pleasures.

Civic duty, you know. I remember after we read the verdict the judge glowered at us as if to say, "You dumbshits." We were sympathetic to the plaintiffs, but their attorney was a crusty old guy, probably semi-retired, who just didn't care about his clients enough to advocate for them.

Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 1/18/19 12:40pm Granny Spicy Tuna:

Did you ever go to the art gallery owned by Dolores Erickson, the woman from the cover of "Whipped Cream and Other Delights?"

Anyway, i lived in South Kelso, near the industrial area. It was shabby and depressing. That's why i watched MTV 24-7 Good thrift stores, though.

Here we have this thing where you have to check in online every day until they tell you you're either nicked and have to come in or they dismiss you for some reason. I've always encountered the latter the few times I've been tapped for jury duty.

I've been called three times in Brooklyn, first two times, after missing a day I got dismissed after the lawyers interviewed me. The third time, I got stuck for 8 business days and on the last day, due to improprieties of on of the lawyers, they had to rechoose a jury. Two weeks of pay I lost doing that....
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 1/18/19 12:43pm Rich in Washington:

Granny Spicy Tuna: No! But I only recently learned that Dolores was from here/there. Does she still own it? I keep meaning to talk the missu into us stopping in Longview/Kelso while to or from our semi-regular coastal roadtrips but so far, she ain't buying...

The lyric that whopped him upside the head is pretty normal in the world of songs and poetry and other writing. Something set the Jenga stack of his faith to extra-precari-collapsious.

Sorry listen at work, in and out of range of my internet-connected radio (which I have to bypass the office firewall which doesn't allow FMU through, by using my phone as a Bluetooth Hotspot which allows my iPad to get on the internet, which then goes to a radio, with some audiophile gear in between, whew), so I missed the announcement Congrats, UM. I'm a bit jealous of course, but a large music purchase at this point could lead to divorce at chez Doctorjazz.

Anita Ward would be fun in this set, but maybe not juuuust right.
