Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:29am Rory:

Blue Cheer!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:31am Aitch:

Space noise works with this one $¢
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:36am Yes:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:45am mariano:

The image in that flyer from a later edition of D&D? I'm only really familiar with 1st and a bit of 2nd edition.

Aitch: You're just a few hours away from 2021, aren't you?
  12:45am Juno:

This show is like aural velcro--I'm stuck, can't turn away
  12:50am $mall ¢hange:

I couldn't find the artist on that one. yeah maybe after 2nd edition
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:51am Aitch:

Nearly 5pm Mariano. 7 hrs to go, want to be sedated
Cool and drizzly with very sensible lockdowns, however tedious they're working.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:54am Aitch:

Holocaust a bold band name
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:54am Rory:

Omg so good!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:55am Threemoons:

@mariano that was from a D&D dungeon set from the late 80's...recognized it immediately...i am such a geek
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:56am Threemoons:

The pic is of a sleeping vampire princess in a sphere shaped room...can't believe I remember that...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:57am Aitch:

Firing up $¢, love it
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:59am Threemoons:

And the Vampire Princess is wearing Slippers of Climbing which means she can climb the spherical walls. I still can't believe I remember this.
  1:00am $mall ¢hange:

hilarious. do you remember which module?
  1:00am Chris International:

Thanks for the music.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:01am Threemoons:

@$mall no, but it was one of the standalone dungeon folders that you bought in the same stores as the figurines and books...I had to be what, 12?
  1:04am $mall ¢hange:

oh werd ok. yeah a dungeon master screen or something
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:06am Threemoons:

Yup, way before the Intertubes.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:06am Threemoons:

I know someone who had that dungeon set....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:09am Threemoons:

WAIT it was from Dragon Magazine. Vampires of Waterdeep IIRC>
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:11am Aitch:

Hard to be sad if there's a cowbell.

Avatar 1:20am Hubig Pie:

Bootsy, bring the Bass line
Avatar 1:22am slugluv1313:

@Threemoons -- i am actually kinda jealous, as i am completely clueless when it comes to D&D, hah!
Avatar 1:27am Hubig Pie:

Happy old year end to yooz and yooz
Avatar 1:27am slugluv1313:

Dyin' To Be Dancin' indeed, earlier today a friend was talking about how she misses dancing too
  1:29am $mall ¢hange:

happy NYE party ppl! def feels strange but we go on
  1:34am BH:

preparing for another year of Central Standard Time NYE, where they might just run the Midnight EST balldrop on a delay since I suspect there won't be a NYE show from New Orleans this year
Swag For Life Member 1:35am Somm Ben:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:38am mariano:

BH: Tipitina's is doing a broadcast: www.tipitinas.com
  1:47am BH:

checked Twitter and... "Big Freedia to Host the Central Time Zone Countdown from New Orleans on “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2021” on ABC".. so congrats to Central Time for getting some sort of TV acknowledgment this year. Whoo!
  1:48am $mall ¢hange:

wait...what? Big Freedia to host? that's pretty crazy
  1:50am wenzo llc.:

thanks for providing a nice motivational soundtrack for my bike ride home through Highland Park/Detroit! Have a blessed evenin' all
  1:50am $mall ¢hange:

cheers have a good eve! Detroit always in the house
  1:51am wenzo llc.:

Big Freedia played a show at my old house once... she lived a block away
  1:54am BH:

The Central time part of New Years Rockin Eve is probably mostly just the time after Times Square and before Midnight Central. To clarify if anybody thought my quote was about the entire show.

Last year the New Orleans NYE show was hosted by Billy Porter and there were a few Lucy Hale years before that.
Swag For Life Member 1:56am Somm Ben:

@Wenzo, what's that biking temperature right now? Damn dude.
  1:57am wenzo llc.:

32 apparently. I was bundled up I barely noticed haha
  2:05am $mall ¢hange:

see that's proper. nice 1 wenzo. I used to bike in nyc winters a wee minute ago. fuck it
Avatar 2:12am slugluv1313:

this Winter Is Leaving, so pretty
  2:12am wenzo llc.:

but have you ever run barefoot in the snow? frostbite... psh. overrated.
  2:14am $mall ¢hange:

no. I think Detroit is harder then nyc in that aspect lol
Avatar 2:15am slugluv1313:

hiya, mariano -- Tipitina's sounds way cool, had no idea about the Professor Longhair connection . . . and that photo from 1897! is that booze downstairs, bordello upstairs?!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:18am mariano:

Hey slugluv! In 1897, probably every upstairs in New Orleans was a brothel.
Avatar 2:23am mb:

Peace'n out. Thank-you Brother Change for some clutch shows this year. Cheers and may '21 be a good one for u FMU fam.
  2:24am $mall ¢hange:

cheers cheers
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:24am mariano:

'Night, mb.
Avatar 2:26am slugluv1313:

good night, mb! YES may 2021 be a better and brighter space :)
Avatar 2:37am slugluv1313:

@mariano -- hah! yup would not surprise me a bit!

it is a fascinating rabbit hole to explore -- like in NYC all these places that used to be opium dens, brothels, speakeasies, etc. -- if i happen to be walking by one of these locations, i gotta wonder if the people now living there know the building's history! so i can imagine that New Orleans has an equally rich "forbidden" history
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:48am mariano:

slugluv: Ever see those 19th-century guides to NYC brothels? I think Gothamist had an article in the recent-ish past about one of them. The NYPL (iirc) has one or two in its digital collection. Crazy how many of them there were.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:49am mariano:

Here it is: gothamist.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:53am mariano:

Avatar 3:00am slugluv1313:

fantastic show, $mall ¢hange -- thanks so much!
Happy New Year, everyone!
and yes, ALWAYS keep those "French imported male safes" handy :)
  3:01am $mall ¢hange:

ridiculous! lol. see yas!!
Avatar 3:03am slugluv1313:

@mariano -- a ton in midtown too -- not going back that far, but in the 70s, 80s -- all these buildings that used to house brothels are now "luxury" condos . . . hell, i almost fell over laughing when i saw that the Baby Doll is now some fancy wine bar
