Hitchhiking home on 206 from HS basketball game in western NJ, 1972 I guess. Couple of guys in a Camaro (was else) pull over, I get in the back Guy in front passes me a joint as "Travelin' in the Dark" comes on the 8-track, loud as fuck as we would say today. Don't know if it was the volume or the weed that burned Leslie's solo into my brain but I will truly never forget it. They dropped me half a mile from my house, which was a big plus out in those days out in the woods.
