Hey, Mike!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:14pm
Mike Sin:

Hey there Woo! All those "Club Reggae" comps from the '70s are strong. The cover photo posted is from the last volume, IIRC -- and, um, the back cover is quite "interesting" as well, as it were!

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:25pm
Mike Sin:

@Lee -- I came to John Holt from "Ali Baba" and dug deeper from there. Top vocalist.
  12:29pm
Lee:

@Mike: much the same for me.
  12:37pm
Richard Whig:

play something you don't like! haha
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:39pm
Mike Sin:

@Richard Whig -- it's a great marketing angle -- "This week, folks, I'll be playing songs that I can't stand! Songs that I wouldn't listen to! Yeah!"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:42pm
Woo:

Does Universal get a cut of this now? I got no problem with Bob taking the money and running.
  12:43pm
Richard Whig:

@mike haha sounds like a winning strategy!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:46pm
Mike Sin:

@Woo -- I wonder when Dylan's publishing sales goes into effect? January 1? I think Dylan is just being a realist here -- He turns 80 next year and he might as well get all this in order as "cash" while he still is of sound mind and before he passes on. I'd wager he knows it's better to turn this asset into cash now because if he passes with it outstanding, he knows there's a good chance his heirs and associates will turn into the figurative Hatfields/McCoys overnight. It's easier to "will out" straight cash than percentages of an ongoing business that will require "majority votes" and all that.

Hi Michael 98145 -- That's the most awesome part of WFMU. The DJs play anything THEY want. No "stress" tracks from the sponsors or "advice" from the "marketing department"!
