Just looked up West India Company - holy Spicolli, yes the Blancmange guys, plus Daniel "The Normal" Miller, Vince Clark, and Asha Bhosle?! What an insane lineup. Too weird to live, I guess. Bollywood was still waaay off on horizon in '84, so far as Western ears were concerned, even in "hip" circles.

I remember seeing La La Human Steps on TV and was quite amazed. A "dance troupe" if you consider members literally picking each other up and flinging them at each other to be dancing. Kind of a high-brow pro wrestling. Loved it.
