Avatar 6:07pm Mr Fab:

Great Monochrome Set tune. A whole set of the Set would be good, too. I'd be set! (sorry, will stop now)
Avatar 6:08pm Feldpausch:

Wow, love her work. Definitely Sheena's ilk
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:09pm Franco Twinkie:

Avatar 6:13pm shangri-lounge:

when do the balloons drop down from the ceiling, mr fab? crack the champagne!
Avatar 6:20pm Martinibomb:

More Eartha Kit! Should be the mantra of this show! :)
Avatar 6:23pm shangri-lounge:

Any day I can get Eartha in on the action is a good day!
Avatar 6:24pm Martinibomb:

Before covid I saw Kim Salmon/The Scientists do a cover of mini, mini, mini
Avatar 6:24pm Feldpausch:

Hey there Franco! Martinibomb! Fab! Scott67!
Avatar 6:25pm shangri-lounge:

Such a good song, Martinbomb. BC (Before Covid).
Avatar 6:27pm shangri-lounge:

I remember when going to too many concerts felt like a drain. Never again!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:33pm Rich in Washington:

Ironically, I had pledged to attend more shows in 2020.
Avatar 6:36pm Martinibomb:

Comin' Home always a good choice to cover
Avatar 6:36pm shangri-lounge:

Here's to hoping touring artists will come back with a vengeance. If there are venues still standing!
Avatar 6:36pm Mr Fab:

Darryl played the original French version of "Chick Habit" yesterday. Yeh yeh!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:36pm Franco Twinkie:

No kidding, La. Concerts - into the trash pile. Stay home and make cookies.
Avatar 6:37pm shangri-lounge:

Yes, I was worried Darryl and I would have a bunch of overlap, haha! Luckily, it was only a couple tracks.
Avatar 6:39pm shangri-lounge:

this kai winding lp is one of my favs. "!!! More !!! (Theme From Mondo Cane)".
  6:53pm Steavin Las Vegas:

This is one of the best radio programs in existence!! Shouts to the dj!!!!
Avatar 6:54pm shangri-lounge:

Whew, thanks Steavin! I'll take it!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:59pm Franco Twinkie:

We're having dog food for dinner, how about you?
Avatar 7:01pm shangri-lounge:

Mmm, which flav tho?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:01pm Phillippe Bastille:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:01pm Rich in Washington:

We're having chickens tonight! Little damn things! As big as my fist! But they're new!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:01pm Franco Twinkie:

Spicy horse meat with sliced carrots.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:03pm Scott67:

Could be worse Franco, you could be eating the dog.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:03pm Franco Twinkie:

Rich, can I come to your house? I'll bring some root beer.
Avatar 7:03pm Martinibomb:

I was just about to wok the dog
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:04pm Rich in Washington:

Only if you do the carving. Usually, the girls do the carving, but I thought, maybe YOU could do the carving tonight Franco.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:04pm Franco Twinkie:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:04pm Rich in Washington:

Just cut 'em up like regular chickens.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:04pm Scott67:

Howls of laughter MB.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:07pm Scott67:

Rich, I'm having Eraserhead flashbacks now.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:07pm Franco Twinkie:

I have poultry shears, I have a table saw, and I have a dirty butter knife. Should I bring all three?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:07pm Rich in Washington:

my workplace used to be dog crazy. Lots of office workers bringing their dogs to the office.
One coworker's dog used to bark at me every morning when I'd come in and she'd apologize for it. I told her 'it's OK. He just smells dog on me. We had roast Spaniel for dinner last night'.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:08pm Franco Twinkie:

Spring tank reverb is the best reverb.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:09pm Scott67:

Rich, you should get Mbomb's stir-fry recipe.
Avatar 7:12pm Mr Fab:

Weird, and a bit disconcerting that Thatcher had such a cool favorite song.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:12pm Scott67:

Oh & great show Shangri-la, loving it!
Avatar 7:13pm shangri-lounge:

LOL, I know, Mr Fab...it's my favorite thing...in a bad way.
Avatar 7:13pm shangri-lounge:

thanks, Scott! is Sheena's part of your early morning routine in AU?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:14pm Rich in Washington:

I know. I'm sort of upset that my all time favorite song and thatcher's are the same. It makes me question everything...
Avatar 7:15pm shangri-lounge:

i didn't know telstar is your fav song, rich! it's definitely one of my favs of all time. i like to pair it side by side with sukiyaki, actually. it works!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:17pm Scott67:

Always listening, unless sleeping. I've been living in the Jungle since Ichiban left. It's my favourite room in the house now.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:17pm Rich in Washington:

ah hell. I just went to use (OSX's) Dashboard to work out Scott67's time and I now see that Apple in their infinite wisdom had removed to from the OS which I was just upgraded to. Sonofabitch!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:17pm Rich in Washington:

I'm glad we could be your refuge stream, Scott67!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:18pm Scott67:

11:17am Rich, tomorrow.
Avatar 7:18pm shangri-lounge:

ah, nice! glad to hear you enjoy Sheena's so much, Scott.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:18pm Rich in Washington:

I remember hearing Telstar frequently on AM radio as a little kid and finding it really peculiar, which is why I liked it.
Avatar 7:19pm Martinibomb:

I'm off to eat dinner! Thanks for the tunes cya in the AM jungle dwellers
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:20pm Rich in Washington:

See ya, MB! Bon appetit!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:20pm Scott67:

Chow MBOMB'S, chew that dog.
Avatar 7:20pm shangri-lounge:

yes! i remember hearing it as a kid on oldies radio. but it was hard to figure it out what it was when i couldn't search for lyrics. when i was about 22, i was at a concert by a group named Javelin and they performed it by kazoo (amazing!). and i was able to finally find it!
Avatar 7:21pm shangri-lounge:

bye, MB. have a good evening!
Avatar 7:25pm ironybread:

Hi Shang
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:26pm Rich in Washington:

I love how Telstar is the leitmotif throughout the Mondo movie parody Mr. Mike's Mondo Video, ala Mondo Cane's More.
Avatar 7:26pm shangri-lounge:

ah hey, ironybread!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:26pm Rich in Washington:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:27pm Scott67:

G'day ironybread!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:31pm Rich in Washington:

Love this track!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:32pm Rich in Washington:

was delighted to hear it pop up in Queen's Gambit.
Avatar 7:32pm shangri-lounge:

it really never gets old! and kinda catches me off guard each time.
Avatar 7:35pm shangri-lounge:

Ah, I haven't watched that show! I'm bad at TV. I know everyone loves it though.
Avatar 7:37pm ironybread:

I'm hearing from people that "Queen's Gambit" is exceptionally dull and cerebral - is this true? Because if so, I am so on board.
Avatar 7:38pm shangri-lounge:

I know there is chess involved...
Avatar 7:38pm ironybread:

Not kidding here - I am not in the mood for drama, I'm in the mood for problem-solving.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:38pm Scott67:

Now I want won-ton!
Avatar 7:39pm shangri-lounge:

this next track won't help, Scott!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:39pm Scott67:

Take out on a beach.
Avatar 7:40pm ironybread:

Scott67 - is there a lot of Vietnamese, Thai, Cambodian, Japanese vinyl in the bins in your town? Just curious about what the import situation is in Oz
Avatar 7:42pm ironybread:

It's possible I'm being really presumptious here - I mean, in L.A. there are all sorts of import records in the used bins, but a surprising paucity of Mexican vinyl. And they're, you know, right next to us.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:43pm Rich in Washington:

Queen's Gambit manages to make the game of Chess seem fascinating. It's also really refreshingly free of TV cliches which make most productions like this sort of frustrating to watch.
Avatar 7:46pm shangri-lounge:

since quarantine, i've essentially only been watching old episodes of Unsolved Mysteries. but it's kind of great. never again you will get people saying stuff directly to the camera for national tv like you would back then. those days are done.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:46pm Scott67:

IB, in Melbourne you can wander into a shop owned & run by any one of those nationalities. Where you wouldn't find anything but cool cultural clutter, including music. I'm 180 km down the road from there,
Avatar 7:48pm shangri-lounge:

i've definitely bought a couple of imports from australia on discogs i could not find elsewhere (releases that would not have been based in australia).
Avatar 7:49pm ironybread:

Yow! Are you in Shepparton?
Avatar 7:50pm ironybread:

I don't have a lot of vinyl artifacts from Asia in my collection, but I do have three Suntaraporn records: taylorjessen.blogspot.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:54pm Scott67:

Nope Bendigo, Shep has produced some muso's of late mate. But last night I was at a party at the house of the Drummer from Cosmic Psychos, he's a friend of mine.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:56pm Franco Twinkie:

Is this the last stop before the streetcar turns around?
Avatar 7:57pm shangri-lounge:

yes, we are nearing the end, and you'll have to wait until next week sadly! :/
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:58pm Scott67:

Sorry ironybread I forgot to ask Dean about the TISM album.
Avatar 7:59pm ironybread:

Awesome, Scott67! The city covered an area of 32.53 square kilometres (12.6 sq mi), and existed from 1855 until 1994!
Avatar 7:59pm Mr Fab:

Ironybread, I used to buy used Mexican vinyl all the time. Lots of groovy 60s garage rock a-go go type things. But that’s when there were little Mexican record stores, mom and pop type operations. Haven’t seen much of them
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:59pm Rich in Washington:

Great show today, shangri-lounge! Thanks!
Avatar 7:59pm ironybread:

Thanks for a great playlist Shangri-La, yer awesome!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:59pm Franco Twinkie:

Okay, I'm getting off. Thanks, little miss.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:00pm Scott67:

Thanks always Shangri-la xx
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:00pm Rich in Washington:

See y'all later!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:00pm Scott67:

See ya Rich.
Avatar 8:01pm shangri-lounge:

Ciao for now, Rich!
Avatar 8:01pm ironybread:

Scott67: Give my best to Jackass Flat Nature Conservation Reserve!
Avatar 8:01pm shangri-lounge:

Thanks, Franco, IB, and Scott!! And Mr Fab, wherever you are!~
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:07pm Scott67:

Will do I'VE, I know it well.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:09pm Scott67:

Actually 132km from Melbourne, oops!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:12pm Scott67:
