Well, if the Macy's Day Parade comes back next year, maybe they'll finally get some squirrel carcass balloons in the mix.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:06am
Mr. Pumpy:

Relatively speaking...not too bad! I sold my house to move in with pops officially. I was supposed to close on 11/30, but it got moved back 2 weeks. I'm happy about that. More time to get my shit together! Anyhow, one less thing to worry about...and it sold in a day. A DAY!

hello ken it would be very interesting to see an inflatable squirrel carcass in the macy’s parade. at the size of the balloons they carry it would probably take about 400 or so carcasses sewn together to get to that size. all those little paws and tales flapping in the wind, what a thanksgiving that would be.

I'd be amused just to see a regular inflated squirrel carcass suspended from a drone coming down Broadway.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:19am

Shit, there may as well be a game called Orson Welles, where he is large and situated like the Dark Tower, wherein the player is required to remove wine related objects from the body, lest they hit the edges and get the annoying "mnnnnttt!" sound. spodiodi:

rich, it works well rolling off the fingers.

mb, that sounds wise and appealing.

chresti, tday has been strange to me for a while, but this year it feels more abstract, i agree -- i thought it was today for a second *shrug guy*

and while i will miss being with my family tamar and i will be enjoying a mushroom stew, cornbread, maybe a salad or soup, something for dessert, and a good bottle of wine instead of turkey

goodnight, chresti. you too
Avatar 🎸 2:18am

same kinda 2-guest limit here, but we've got no stew planned, nor cornbread (i've been craving some for months, per CC's frequent mention of it)
Avatar 🎸 2:19am
spodiodi:

i always ask them to tell me about the cornbread
Avatar 🎸 2:19am

i've been focusing on cookies lately (too much)
Avatar 🎸 2:21am
spodiodi:

maybe tday should be cornbread day here (will require an unplanned trip to the grocery store, though i suppose we could just have some delivered in time... will mull)
  2:22am
rich:

a variety of mushrooms (whatever’s available), flour, red wine, canned tomatoes, onions, potato, italian parsley, rosemary, thyme, sage

that sounds good, rich

so did the ddAa

i make stew in the same kind of improvisational spirit. (usually with more beans, and some bay leaves). my partner likes to follow recipes a lot more than i do

beans and i do not like each other but mushrooms and i have a long and fruitful relationship

I'm going to try to so some improv stews this winter. Going to start with the idea behind Sun Ra's "Moon Stew". What could go wrong?

mb, bookmarked. thanks for the recipe. the only thing that might be hard to come by (and the only thing i haven't been putting in my own) is okra.
Avatar 🎸 2:36am

okra was a regular veg item at the cafeteria when i was working in nc. i haven't had it in a long time. good stuff tho (esp fried :D)

Thanks, Rich. By next Friday, you may have a turkey carcass for company.

that’s it for me this week. have a good and safe week. enjoy your harvest day on thursday and avoid black friday at all costs. do something fun. question the meaning of existence. free your ass and see if your mind does follow. work at becoming the best air flutist. watch a watch. imagine the sound of your favorite stench, illustrate it with a color that is the opposite of that sound. carefully shave the cheese. and remember to shout some HUZZAHs to the skeleton crew.
