Avatar 11:50am Franco Twinkie:

Poohbah records put on the Sun Ra show in L.A. One day I was talking to one of the guys who worked at the store at that time, and he said he was the roadie on that gig. He told me he drove the van full of the bands equipment down the Pasadena Freeway totally wiped on LSD. He said that once they got to the venue, which was called Myrons Ballroom, and they set up the gear, he had to guard the van while one of the guys in the band got busy in the back with a young fan. Don't be knockin' if this van is rockin' as they use to say. It was a fantastic show. Every weirdo and musician in L.A. was there that night. It still comes up after all these years.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:51am notsoTuppyware:

that is really interesting Franco
Avatar 11:52am solo mon:

Domenic it all started when ARB said she would do her 6th grade milk rap live during the October Hellraiser
Avatar 1:48pm Franco Twinkie:

The Turtles recorded that song when they moved from Laurel Canyon to a broken down dairy farm in Fontana. It didn't last, Mark and Howard were both adverse to doing real farm work. Then Frank called, and the rest is history.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:50pm Rich in Washington, Jr.:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:52pm Otis:

Really is. Here's a blurb from the Trunk website,

"Six years in the making (1979 - 1985). A unique 90 minute space epic adventure made in a bedroom in Hull on limited and slightly dodgy equipiment. A true labour of love and a only previously available on C90 Cassette (with Dolby) via Sci-Fi and computer magazines in the mid 1980s. Totally unforgettable, joyous and full of extraordinary detail and ideas."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:53pm Webhamster Henry:
