Options November 13, 2020: Incredibly Strange Music Vol. 2 - Chapter 1: Jello Biafra pt. 20 - Do It Yourself Records pt. 2
This episode is dedicated to whomever tried to break into my warehouse of garbage yesterday in downtown Ogden on Wall Street. You broke my door! I guess we've needed to buy a new door for some time now anyway, it was always too small for the frame, so thanks for the encouragement. If you really wanted to steal from a room full of used donated Andy Williams and Classical Music records, I would have given it all to you for the asking. Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:33pm ▽▽⦰†is F⦰dder▩⠁⡠:

I still run across Geocities sites, maybe Tripod is still up, don't know. Reminds me also of aol sites too.
Avatar 2:34pm BC Sterrett:

I was really bad at keeping set lists in the geocities days. Most of my radio went undocumented :/
Avatar 2:39pm BC Sterrett:

Because my shows are based on books, who knows when I'll ever come back to some artists again in the near future. I few tracks off an album so people can get a feel for it. Especially if they're following along in the books :)
Avatar 2:39pm ARB:

Appreciating the cheese art!
Avatar 2:40pm BC Sterrett:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:52pm Mr Fab:

Hey, I remember The Nourishment! I think there’s a couple tracks in the stream. (There really was a band called Big Poo Generator?)
Avatar 2:53pm ARB:

Haven't heard The Nourishment yet, but based on your description BC you are my new favorite band
Avatar 2:54pm BC Sterrett:

Yeah check them out. They also went under names like Hemroid Rogers and The Wacky Ball Kickers etc.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:55pm Mr Fab:

Oh, the Hemorrhoy Rogers guys! Yeah, def know and love em. “I Be An Retarded.”
Avatar 2:55pm BC Sterrett:

I don't appear on any of the albums, I was one of their stage musicians, with accordion, theremin, unicycle and backup vocals. The only song I wrote and recorded with them was called "The Thoughts of Plants." It was destroyed when Jason's computer crashed.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:59pm solo mon:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:00pm Mr Fab:

Yeah, I have very little of my own music before my RIAA/Mr Fab days. I think i have one song by an ‘80s noise terror band of me and other Hollywood scuzz rockers, a demolition of th Modern Lovers “Roadrunner”... so maybe its just as well i probably lost those tapes!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:08pm Mr Fab:

Avatar 3:10pm BC Sterrett:

If there was a song I didn't feel like playing, I'd take off on my unicycle while they kept performing.

Love the Let's Get Busy CD too. Years back when working on Cool and Strange, I helped set up the interview and the class listened to an episode of Friendly Persuasion on Antenna Internet Radio where I was talking about the band and playing songs, some 20 years ago... must have been a class group or two, after the Let's Get Busy album.

Thanks BC for the ISM Jello Lunch today. Off to see a sink about some dishes.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:45pm Mr Fab:

I had a unicycle but couldn't figure out how to ride it. Same with skateboards, and roller skates. I’d get on ‘em, wobble around, and fall down. Lotsa blood.
Avatar 3:46pm BC Sterrett:

Thanks Otis :)
Avatar 3:51pm BC Sterrett:

I was determined to learn it. I'd skip class in high school with a friend to ride it around a local tennis court or in parking lots. I wasn't great but got it down enough. Now I'm too overweight. ha Never got good at skateboards. After breaking both my arms and getting hit by a van, my skateboard mysteriously disappeared after that. It was a pink "Conan the Barbarian" skate board. It was my fault they were banned from Canadian Academy in Kobe, Japan...
