Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:08pm ARB:

Otis? What!?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:09pm Otis Fodder:

I'm running it here, which means if I wanted to play Xanadu on 16rpm for an hour over Don-O I could do it. Baaaa ha ha.

Noooo, would never do that. We'll wait until the next Xanadu marathon of 48 hours in 10 years.
Avatar 6:09pm Feldpausch:

Love the backstory, Don-O
Avatar 6:09pm Don-O:

Sorry for being lazy announcing your show there, Otis or Lealand...or...
Avatar 6:11pm Don-O:

To us Xanadu is pleasure, but to everyone else, it a test!
  6:11pm CC:

Money makes the world go round if you spread it around right...just like fertilizer!!!...:)
Avatar 6:12pm Don-O:

.......and the sound has just gone out on my end. Lovely internet connection, it is.....
  6:13pm CC:

It's working good for me!!!...
Avatar 6:14pm Don-O:

....from the guy who brought you C B Savage.
  6:15pm CC:

Jeremy told me to tell you he thinks this song ought to go out to Donald Trump!!!...lol...:)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:17pm ARB:

easy listening here
  6:20pm CC:

Steve Allen was such a closet Bohemian... wasn't he???...:)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:22pm ARB:

I love the Golding Institute!
  6:25pm CC:

I worry about the sky nowadays I'm not so sure how friendly it is???...:)
Avatar 6:29pm Mr Fab:

Yes CC, Steve Allen played piano for Jack Kerouac no less. And did "beat" versions of fairy tales. Crazy, dad.
Avatar 6:30pm Don-O:

Excitement At The Airport!!
  6:31pm CC:

Mr. Fab... one of my earliest tv memories was watching some snake girl crawl around on Steve Allen's stage...doing some kind of an exotic number???...:)
Avatar 6:32pm Mr Fab:

Wow, hope that footage exists somewhere!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:32pm Crudbringer:

So glad to catch this. Relevant to my interests.
  6:32pm CC:

I forget maybe it was on the Ernie Kovacs show???...:)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:35pm Rich in Washington:

I love these discs. I used to have them all but foolishly traded them to a friend who really, really wanted them. I did manage to rip them, though.
Avatar 6:35pm Don-O:

An old Hari Krishna warning!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:35pm Rich in Washington:

I do have the Final Relaxation one though.
  6:36pm CC:

This sounds like Jack Nicholson talkin???...:)
  6:38pm CC:

Somebody ought to do a collage of Garfunkel and Nicholson talkin in the movie carnal knowledge?!?...:)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:40pm Rich in Washington:

Oh. I have this record. It's pretty weird. Maybe my first ever industrial musical record.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:41pm ARB:

www.youtube.com... Not this snake dance is it?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:42pm ARB:

Oh yeah, I read that book, it was good!
Avatar 6:45pm Don-O:

I'm trying to get enough 'airline' records from the 60's and 70's.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:46pm Rich in Washington:

There's a really peculiar avant garde electronic music LP called Music To Wash Dishes By by someone named Tom Cameron. It's pretty rare. I'll bet Kitten Sparkles has it. I just own the unofficial Creel Pone CDR 'reissue'.
Avatar 6:46pm Don-O:

.....oh, god bless that person for liking that Pan Am set!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:46pm Rich in Washington:

He uses EKG electrodes attached to his head to control oscillators.
  6:47pm CC:

ARB...I don't know... I wasn't even one year old until February of 1955 but that does look familiar???... did Steve Allen or Ernie Kovacs host that show??...:)
  6:50pm CC:

It's possible that act could have been a popular attraction for more than a few years and showed up later on when I remember TV...?..:)
Avatar 6:52pm Don-O:

I'm kinda glad I'm not wash dishes to the beat on this on.
Avatar 6:52pm Don-O:

I got to look for this dishwashing training film
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:53pm Rich in Washington:

I was a teenage dishwasher.
  6:54pm CC:

This is a good song to peel potatoes to!!!...:)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:54pm Rich in Washington:

That narrator sounds really familiar.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:55pm Rich in Washington:

I'll bet A/V Geeks probably knows where to find that film, Don-O.
Avatar 6:56pm Don-O:

I would not be surprised.....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:57pm Rich in Washington:

hey folks, I'll be spinning big hole 7" records for the next three hours at Cratedigger's Lung right after this show: wfmu.org...
Avatar 6:57pm Don-O:

I'm supposed I played some Wayne Butane at the end of this episode, but DJ GG was a tad late playing out and two songs were already edited out. We'll see what happens....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:58pm Rich in Washington:

YOu can go over.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:58pm Otis Fodder:

Wayne Butane, yayyyy!
