so 5 years ago I had open heart surgery. I had my iphone with me, and had "Born of Six" on replay for the 8 days I was in the hospital. It freaked out the nursing staff. They didn't know what to make of it, or me. I was sharing a room with a guy in a coma on a ventilator, and this mixed really well. It mixed well with every machine they had me hooked up to.

The original novel is almost always superior to the film adaptation, but every now and again the adaptation is an improvement on the original. That would include George Roy Hill's adaptation of Slaughter House Five and Bresson's L'Argent (from a Tolstoy novella). Also I like Ornette Coleman's sax on the sound track of Naked Lunch.
