Freeform radio for the chronically impatient. Avant-garde pop, poppy avant-garde, teutonic thump thump, loud guitars and guttural screaming. Playlists and photos posted in real time on the web so you can play along or comment at home or work.

Listener comments!
F੯F੯ (! Good to see you!
WFMU seems to have a pretty large contingent of Finnish listeners, too, at least proportional to population.
ami ad, hey there.
Good of SMK to kick off the day with some music from Scandahoovia.
I see some Garbage Pail Kids in that swell GIF!
Hi everybody!
Thanks, ami!
@TDK60 it was Larry Fine's birthday Monday: 118!
Feliz cumpleanos!
Also,
Feliz cumpleaños!
YB, Finland knows! A friend of mine was in Helsinki years ago to give a lecture. He was alone and wandering around by himself and saw a bunch of black-clad longhairs going into a venue. He went to the box office, apologized for not speaking Finnish, and asked what was happening.
"Ah. Is Finnish ... National ... Bass Solo ... Championship."
"One please!"
Thanks, Androu!
Hi Kinny !
tenor.com...
Thank you, O Great Talking Egg!
Does anyone know about the origins of the legend of the Judderman? I've been recently reacquainted with the ad campaigns from European TV for Metz's line of "alco-pop" liquor that capitalizes on the character's image and the rhyme that tells of his legend, which starts off with, "Beware the Judderman when the Moon is fat!"
Thanks for that. I'm thinking it's about time America was introduced to the Judderman by way of Halloween. I feel the character would make a great Halloween costume.

Morning!
Schrecklich!
Happy Handy you
Happy Handy Dude Handy
Happy Handy to you
I encountered a problem while brining your b-day cake. I ate it all by snaccident.
Thanks FoFo, I feel most welcome. Earth Walker - Funnily enough I am at this moment going insane in a huge, deserted hotel. How did you know..?
Hello, David!
Just saw pop woman artists from the 60s
here in Nice mamac musée
Jane Bergen Ect
Nice colors
Happy Birthday, Handy.
Hello David (in London)
Glad to hear from a fellow VB fan!
I have "Tuff" (the end theme) as my ringtone!
@Danny: You paint a lovely picture!
Exclamation points for everybody!
Do they lick too ?
Really Lisa, hello to you! How are you?
"Brock, if pirates really exist, I mean, Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy could even be real, right? It’s like, all bets are off!"
@DJ Guin, works for me! I'm single by choice but hey..
@David iL, hanging on by a thread, as many of my fellow citizens trapped in bizarro US are, thanks for asking!
I have to jump off for stupid work. Ken, this has been a blazing good time! Thanks for ALL!
Be well, everyone!
Love your avatar!
Part 2: Does she cover Creep?
Not edited here in France
<call me> lol
How do brainiac?
(These kids and their wacky lingo these days.)
I saw that on YouTube! That was Golden!
Serge was a notorious womanizer/chauvinist, along with being an incurable alcoholic. His relationship with Brigitte Bardot was pure tabloid fodder.
I just go spam.
Tanks fuh dah 'tation ID! Dat was a gweat impwession!
I also used to love WZBC, the Boston College station.
Exactly. It was also "legal" as the Brazilians would say (meaning cool).
Do you recall the Metz Judderman TV ads over on your side of the Pond? As I was saying to YetiBob, that character would make a tempting choice for a Halloween costume idea.
I'm always confused whether this is some Kraftwerk mashup or the original or something in between. I even lost a bet because of this!
Wait. According to an urban legend Aphex Twin lives in the Elephant and Castle roundabout?
Joe - It wasn't a tank, but it was an ex-army APC. Huge thing it was.
It's pretty common. Especially in/around picadilly circus / Harrods
PS. Ex XTC Barry Andrews sang about the "Sargasso Bar" on his "Town & Country" EP. Probably not near The Sargasso Sea. Cheers.
Loose lips etc.
I believe all confidential material is to be released after some years. Declassified!
And I must take my leave again. Gotta let the dingo walk me. I'll be late to Mary Wing, but I'll be there.
Thanks again, Ken -- and thanks all for the kind wishes!
I'll try to be late to my meeting next week and call in to do the legal with, er, for Ken!
It's a scene from the Merrie Melodies cartoon "The Hep Cat"
Can we be friends? So I can tell people I'm 2 degrees of separation to The Boss.
100% Whatever is coming up:
wfmu.org...
Yeah, I remember hearing this Mormon song on Micah's show.
Thank you Ken, take care folks!
The only word I'd say is I'm really proud for the show. I'm really proud of the commenters that came here to post and did it with a heart, with a soul, with the determination!
We had some bad moments during the show like when Wing Legal ID was called invalid but we've got a strong belief!
I'm happy for the WFMU staff, I'm happy for mister Ken, I'm very happy, yes!
Excuse me I'm emotional now, I really apologise to the listeners, to the commenters, but it comes from my heart.
Bye.
I've tried to contact you about Andy Ortmann a number of times. I just wanted to humbly ask if you'll consider giving an audience to someone who hasn't abused or sexually assaulted three of my friends, punched Kathleen Hanna in the face, hacked a number of people's accounts, harassed labels with knowledge of when they received their payroll checks, including me, repeatedly texted three different women I know of whose number was never given to him, attempted to badger me simply for my knowledge of his abuse, maced a woman during a performance, and on and on. As a listener supported radio station, I would think you'd have better options for your programming, and I would like to make a humble appeal to your sensibilities. Please consider ending your relationship with Andy Ortmann. He is an extremely manipulative and malicious person. And he has a proven history of it.
